Benkii 60 Mph Windproof 10 Rib Travel Umbrella, Purple

I bought this for an event that I needed sun protection for. It's is super easy to put up and collapse - just a push button. It's very sturdy and did well both as sun protection and not getting destroyed in the wind. However, where a windproof umbrella usually means it has some sort of system for making sure you don't fly away with the wind (layered vents or some such), this had no such thing and literally is a wind sail. It made protecting from the sun in one direction, while walking against a breeze tough. That was why I gave it 4 instead of 5. It would be a non issue if you have no wind or are protecting from rain or sun from directly above.

Amazing umbrella, really love it. Works so much better than any other umbrella I've owned. Would recommend. Bought two and they're both very sturdy.Update: Just used it during the first big storm since purchase. It survived pretty well despite high winds, much better than my last umbrella. It did invert twice during very strong gusts, but quickly flipped back into normal position and functioned as usual. I was disappointed that it inverted at all because I doubt it actually hit its max wind speed capacity of 60mph so I am knocking it down a star. That said, I think it still did a pretty good job. Still searching for an umbrella that won't invert. For reference, I'm from Southern California where storms aren't that intense at all, so for an umbrella to not survive where I am means it'll absolutely die anywhere else.

I have wanted one of these in purple for some time. I am not disappointed, for what it is. It seems well made, and the material is thicker than most. However, this arrived with what appear to be some pinholes around the edges, and I CAN'T for the life of me find ANY fiberglass in the ribs, as the description suggests. It's also nowhere near as big as the umbrella the guy is holding in the picture on the product listing page. I will reach out to Benkii and change this depending on what happens. They have been very responsive before I even bought anything!

I haven't had the chance to use this umbrella in super strong winds or rains, but it feels really sturdy and hearty! It's a little heavy, but it has to be in order to do its job. I like how it's definitely small enough to fit in a purse, but still expands wide enough to fit two people. It's easy to open (touch a button) and easy to close (again, use the button)I don't look forward to being in the typhoons in Hong Kong, but at least I'll have some good protection. :)

I got my umbrella today, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it. It fits perfectly in my bag so I'll have it handy when I need it, and the case will keep it safe from being damaged. Since I'm a teacher, I also love that I was able to get it in our school color! Now, it doesn't rain a lot in the desert, but the sun shines a lot, and it can get windy, so the 10 rib construction and the claim that it can stand up to 60 mph winds sold me on this!

This is a very sturdy umbrella that has been well-constructed. Because there is no compromise with material, it's a little bit heavier than the umbrellas of this size but still an acceptable weight. My only issue is that the "press to close" function is a little bit stiff and it closes with some vigor rather than with ease. Still, it is a very good product and the color is as brilliant as advertised. I'm happy!

My Benkii umbrella has been turned inside out in Dublin's high wind gusts and it snapped right back into place, no issues. It's been dragged through and used in Madagascar tropical rain storms in one of their rainforests, and it still looks brand new! Best value and quality. I've never had an umbrella last more than one trip and this thing has been through multiple countries with extreme weather and still looks like it was just taken out of the package!

Because of all the recent storms, I've had the chance to use this umbrella a few times already. I rated it with 3 stars (It's okay) - I like the sturdy design, it's compact size (fits in my purse), value, and strength against the wind. I'll have to say, it's not unordinary, however the umbrella still flipped multiple times while I was walking with it. It didn't break when it flipped, which I appreciate.
