Design: This is a truly hand-hammered Sterling silver unisex pendant in a bold and handsome style that was built around a natural crystal shape. The trigonal crystal habit of Corundum creates hexagonal shaped crystals in natural Ruby. This gem is simply a slice of such a crystal, the natural shape has been preserved. I sawed this slice off of a translucent crystal from Africa that had been heated with leaded glass to enhance the clarity. This type of gem should not be exposed to harsh chemicals or high heat such as flames. The bail is accented with a natural clear and sparkling 2.5mm faceted round natural Sapphire that has been heated only. The entire piece measures 36mm in length and will accommodate up to 3.5mm diameter size chains.
