I'm Super Impressed With This Cup!
If you want and/or need this kind of hiking-camping drinking cup, I highly recommend this conversation piece.PROS1.) Nicely designed and well made [although, see the "con(s)" below].2.) Cool carabiner to clip the cup on a belt or strap.3.) Appears well insulated, and is very lightweight.CONS1.) The cup seems to be made of "aluminized" stainless steel, which may leach unhealthy aluminum out of it, so I wouldn't use anything hot in it causing the metal to expand and more likely cause aluminum to leach from it.2.) Unlike "Sierra Cup" type hiking-camping cups, it doesn't loop around a belt like the former do, making them move around less and remain fairly snug to the body, but it can be clipped to an out-of-the-way strap on a daypack so, though it may bounce around, it won't hit your body or irritate you while doing so.3.) I'm not sure that the way the carabiner is screwed into the body of the cup, it is going to hold up in the long run.SUMMARIZINGKeeping in mind that this cup isn't anything particularly fancy, and that it might not have a super-long longevity, I would otherwise heartily recommend it. Just don't treat it roughly, and it should please you.

Novelty Mug for Climbers
I’m really starting to like Alpine Mountain Gear, a brand of Caddis Sports in Battle Ground, WA. They have a great logo and good pricing, not way overpriced like other outdoor companies. I got a camping table and chair from them, both of which are decent quality. So when I saw this cute carabiner mug, I just had to get it! I like anything that’s made of stainless steel, and the carabiner handle is fun but functional. It’s a bit confusing that the product page says this mug is dishwasher safe, and yet the sticker on the bottom of the mug says “Hand Wash Only.” I’m guessing the detergent might ruin the shiny red finish on the carabiner. The screws that attach the carabiner to the mug are screwed solidly into the 1/8-inch-thick stainless steel side of the mug without going all the way through. “Never Stop the Adventure.”

Sturdy Mug, Handy for Festivals
I used this carabiner mug at Burning Man, where you have to bring your own cup, and it held up through the entire week! It withstood the dust, the drops, and the general wear and tear of the festival. The carabiner clip made it super convenient to carry around, although by the last day, it did loosen a bit, so I'll need to fix that for next year.Overall, it’s a durable and functional cup that survived some rough conditions. Highly recommend for camping or festivals, just keep an eye on the carabiner over time!

Decent mug
This mug is decent for occasional use with a fancy looking steel carabiner handle that I frankly find a little annoying. The design looks great but I'd just prefer a regular handle that's thicker and better grip. The mug itself seems to be constructed with quality steel and is a good size to use on camping and backpacking trips.

Useful mug with classic camp look. And it's double walled!
I love stainless steel and I wanted to upgrade the plastic coffee camping mug I've been using for years and I saw this mug and liked the look. Although it doesn't mention in the description that this is a double walled mug, I was super happy to confirm that it is indeed double walled.Having double walls on a metal mug is kind of important when drinking hot coffee (or other hot drink). A double wall keeps the rim from overheating and burning your lips. The mug can also be held without using the handle, where a single wall would be too hot to hold. I'm surprised they don't highlight that feature in the product description. The carabiner handle is both useful and practical as I can just hook the mug into the MOLLE straps on the side of my camp kitchen bag to keep it handy. To be honest, the carabiner probably isn't the most comfortable handle, but it works just fine and has the additional benefits.Overall, I love this mug and find it to be a cool looking, high quality stainless steel mug that works well.
