They can last up to one week depending on how tight your teeth are. If you have tight contacts you may need to change them out more frequently. The floss heads will last longer if they are used gently, and not forced in between your teeth.

At this time, the Slate Flosser cannot work with a bridge, permanent retainer, or implants. It can be used with crowns or braces.

What is the best way to use the flosser for maximum effectiveness?

We call it the "roll & sweep" technique. Instead of pushing it between your teeth and pushing it down, roll the flosser in and slide it from tongue to cheek and roll out. Watch our how to videos to be guided through the process!

Run the floss head under hot water before using. This helps the floss slide more easily between the teeth when you use the "roll & sweep" technique and prevents the floss from breaking!
