I've found Korean and Japanese skincare work well on my combination sensitive skin. This Chickpea serum is lightweight and easily absorbed into the skin without feeling sticky or greasy. I use it for the drier parts of my face and body. The serum has a light botanical scent.

Serum This serum feels wonderful on my super dry skin and while this is supposed to help with acne-prone skin, it really helped my older skin feel better. It has a light floral scent didn't bother my sensitive skin either. This is made in Korea.

This is a thoughtful face serum when considering the ingredients. The only thing I could point out is the "parfum," which is last on the list. Otherwise, there are soooo many excellent ingredients listed. Next, the packaging includes a safety seal, full descriptions of contents and ingredients along with best use and an expiration date. The glass dropper bottle is also nice. A lot of thought and detail went into this skin loving and repairing face treatment. It's a lovely option at a reasonable price. Lastly, my preference is to use at night and follow with a finishing moisturizer.

Nice smell, thick serum, cute company name. ;) However, my skin didn't like it at all. After using at night, I could tell my skin was not as smooth on one cheek the next morning. It wasn't so much as rash as a slight overall bumpiness underneath my skin. Day 2 I noticed redness across the bridge of my nose and top parts of cheeks and chin where product had been applied. I'm not allergic to chickpeas, I've used squalane and panthenol before, so not sure what triggered all this. EDIT: I haven't used this serum for a few days and have been washing with gentle cleanser and lotion. Today I wore some eye masks that I have used for ages without issue. I still have the rough feeling to my cheek and now have red marks from where there eye masks were. (photo added)

The essence feels light and absorbs quickly, giving my skin a dose of nutrients and moisture. But, it's not fragrance-free, which is kind of a bummer for me since I usually go for unscented stuff. The scent is nice though, not too strong, so it might not be a problem for everyone. Overall, it's a great product, but I'd prefer it to be unscented.

I love to eat chickpeas, and I just learned that they are good for my skin as well as my diet. Who knew?!? This K Beauty serum from the brand Dumi Dang is a light gold color gel-like serum that is hydrating and weightless. I layer it under the matching moisturizer for double the effect. As the other reviews mention, it does have a strong and unique smell, which is not my favorite. Since I use it at night, it doesn't bother me too much. The benefits of this serum, in my opinion, outweigh any downsides. In the morning, my skin looks glowy and plump.

I have to admit that Chickpea Serum was something brand new for me to test. I eat chickpeas often, but never thought about what they could do for the skin. Chickpeas are rich in magnesium, so that is a big plus. This serum absorbs quickly into the skin with no discernible scent. I use it on the patches of dry skin that I can never totally hydrate. It seems to really help lock in moisture. I put the serum on the designated spots first, and then apply the rest of my skin routine products.

So, they're telling me to put hummus on my face? This serum promises to transform me into a human chickpea, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. But hey, if it means hydrated, poreless skin, I'm willing to give it a shot. Just hope I don't attract any pigeons. Seriously, it feels good. Just don't expect skin miracles!
