Unexpected flavor in baked goodies
I ordered this Briess - 812322 - Dry Malt Extract - Golden Light - 1 lb to try my hand at using malt in my baking. Holy macaroni and cheese is it a game changer! The flavor is phenomenal and totally delicious. A bit...marshmallow-y and old fashioned. I don't think I'll ever be without a bag of Briess malt in the pantry again. It dissolves pretty easily in warm liquid (little whisking does wonders!). This time I had "Golden Light". Now I need to try their other flavor profiles. Yum!

Request double bagging!
Damaged during shipping. The powder made it into boxes in the same package making a sticky mess of everything which spread to the area around where the package was opened. It is not returnable and the time I spent cleaning and trying to get a refund, which I gave up on already cost way more than the $10 spent. This item should be double bagged for shipping! I was able to use a little from the bag. Seems ok but the rest is bricked from humidity.

Works as well as Carnation Malted Milk powder for malts
I found a home brewer's website that had a commenter that said they had used this to make ice cream malts. It works quite nicely, tastes good, and the bonus is that there is not nearly as much sugar in it as the stuff from the grocery store.
