Get Your Fish On!
I started using Carlyle Cod Liver Oil because of my knees. Last April 2019 my right knee went out on me and I started wearing compression sleeve braces on both knees for added support. I also started some physical therapy, learning some exercises that would help strengthen the muscles around the knees. Then in July, while on vacation in Long Beach WA., and sight seeing in Astoria Or. my knee went out again, real bad. My wife and I searched nearby stores and bought a cane so I could get around. By August my knees were better but still painful when walking or using the stairs. I had researched Cod Liver previously and it appeared to have a good number of benefits to using it so I thought, why not give it a try. The results have been amazing, I have been using it as directed for over 3 months now and am currently pain free in both knees and can go up and down stairs normally instead of one step at a time. When I take my C L Oil I call it "Getting My Fish On", I has a mild fishy ocean taste to it, that I come to like. It's like acquiring a taste for good Scotch Whiskey, at first it's tastes a bit odd but over time you acquire a taste and preference for it. Of course I'm Norwegian and Swede so when I Get My Fish On, I think of my roots and I feel good. I can't say for certain the C L oil is the reason my knees feel better now but since I haven't been keeping up on my physical therapy exercises I have to give it the credit for my knees feeling so good. In closing, if you have knee or other joint pain, give Carlyle Cod Liver Oil a try and "Get Your Fish On". Great price too!

Dogs love it!
Vet recommended fish oil (Nordic Naturals) for my oldest German Shepherd, but it was going to be pretty expensive for the amount that he wanted her to have, and one bottle wouldn't have lasted very long and would be super expensive just for one dog. Not only that, I wanted to start giving it to all my dogs. I did some research on the different types of fish oil and decided to use cod liver oil, then found this product. I ordered a 3-pack off the bat and I'm glad I did. They all seriously love this stuff and will steal each other's portion when it's time for their vitamins. At the time I'm writing this review, I have just bought this product for a 3rd time after 2 months of giving it to my dogs. For context, I have 4 GSDs, 5-11 yrs old, 85-100 lbs, 1m/3f, and they have been raw fed their whole life (no veggies though), get Bully Max 9 in 1 vitamins daily, and three of them take apoquel for itching. I made too many changes at once to notice exactly how much difference this specific product made (added this fish oil, a small portion of veggies, and filtered water), but within the month, I immediately noticed my all black GSD who usually has a tone of white dander flaking all the time was no longer flaking anymore. Even one of the other tan/black females who also flaked less obviously was no longer flaking as much. Each one of their coats was significantly shinier, and the scratchers weren't scratching as much. I didn't notice any difference with the bully max vitamins, but I sure did with this cod liver oil. For dosage, I give each dog one tablespoon daily and the 3-pack lasts a month for me. A little messy, but since I have linoleum floors, they will lick up every drop of this stuff off the floor and still try to steal the bottle. The mess isn't an issue for me, but maybe put it on a plate for your dog if that's not possible for you. It's most definitely worth it!

Good for what it is ✳️
This is a very inexpensive cod liver oil, and you sure get A LOT for your money. There's a reason for that, as I explain below. It's a lot better in quality and quantity over grocery store or pharmacy products. It's neither extra virgin nor cold processed, which means high heat and solvents were used in the extraction and processing for max yield. It's definitely a good source of DHA and Omega 3, but not as much as you think. Again, better than grocery store or pharmacy stuff. It's chock full of added synthetic Vit A as retinol palmitate and synthetic Vit D as cholecalciferol, so it'll be cheaper for you to just buy the synthetic pills if that's what you're looking for. It does not taste bad because most of the fishy smell was removed along with the vitamins while processing. It's got a long shelf life, again, due to the processing. So I recommend this with an asterisk ✳️.

Doesn't taste as bad as others
Of course it tastes gross, but not as bad as others I've tasted. Also tastes fresh. A good swig of water takes care of it. No burping or after taste. I use this for my dog as it helps with shedding hair, My dog is 75 lbs and I give her 1 Tablespoon a day and of course she thinks it is a treat. I take it daily and hubby takes it here and there, we don't think it is a treat 0.0 but it does help with health and well worth those few seconds of strangeness. It gives me more energy and helps with fighting colds.
