RC2 Residential Connected 8 Station Controller | RC2-8

After researching a number of wifi enabled controllers and taking with an irrigation professional at the local irrigation supply store, I chose this unit. I only have four stations, but the 8 station model was a much better value and had all the bells and whistles I was looking for. The phone interface is easy to set up and use and mine connected nearly instantly with my router. Be sure that you have a 2.4 ghz enabled router, as this unit will not work on a 5 ghz-only wifi system. Will be purchasing one for my summer home which will allow me to control both homes from one interface.

Da muchos problemas para conectarlo a la wifi pero, sobre todo, después de llevar funcionando tres meses, dejó de conectarse repentinamente a la red mientras estaba ausente de casa y ya no hay manera de conectarlo. Utiliza la app 2.0, mucho más problemática que la primera versión. Después de un día completo de intentar configurarlo de nuevo me sale el mensaje de que llame a un número de teléfono de Estados Unidos!

Swapped out when our older controller with WiFi was malfunctioning and voltage was being observed being sent to multiple valves at the same time. The sprinkler repair tech recommended the Rain Bird over the other brands. I found this at a crazy low price here compared to local places. I installed the unit myself to save some cost. I had installed my previous controller so it went fairly smooth. So far the device has worked flawlessly. The app is very straightforward and was very comparable to the older controller app. This unit did not have a display, only buttons and indicator lights, but the app interface is great. Haven’t really had chance to have any weather delays since Florida is in the dry season. The sprinkler tech did refurbish the old rain sensor and said with the weather reporting and rain sensor we would be in great shape.

Easy to install and program. Works as I expected. Internet connection a real plus. Would buy again.
