It's sharp and cuts cleanly
This will be a short review. The sharpness of the factory blade that came with my Makita compound miter saw went the way of the dinosaur. It was time for something fresh. I looked at what was available and chose the Makita 80t. I thought the price was fair and the reviews good. Maybe all the blades out there would/will perform similarly so I'm not going to say this is the best blade ever made. I will say that it is very sharp, cuts clean, runs true, and is a relatively narrow kerf design. I have a Forrest blade for the Makita and it cuts well but removes a lot more materiel since it is quite a bit thicker. Bottom line... I'd be really surprised if you weren't completely satisfied... thrilled even. Best blade ever? Maybe, maybe not but it's a very, very good blade.

Excellent Blade, Outstanding Value
This blade excels in a sliding miter saw for trim carpentry applications. It produces cuts that are glue-ready and wastes a minimum of material. It will handle heavier materials, though with some effort. I have used it on 2x for framing and even the occasional PT, and it does fine, albeit rather slowly, as one would expect from an 80t blade. It does fairly well on plywood. But what it really shines at is crosscuts in fairly thin material, like 1x boards and moldings. The cuts are just gorgeous and blowouts are minimal, even with fairly delicate finger-joint pine millwork. It is manufactured in Thailand. I have had mixed results with Makita blades over the years, and I had low expectations of an imported blade this cheap. But this one has proven itself to be a real winner.

You can pay a lot more, but you won't find any better
I build furniture, cutting boards, chess boards, heirloom boxes, and a variety of other things and at one time or another I've tried most saw blades for chop and table saws. This Makita blade makes a fairly pronounced whirring noise and tends to lift the wood slightly, but other than that, the cuts are consistently perfect with very little blade marks. The blade lasts as long as much more expensive blades even when cutting Jatoba, Hickory, Brazilian Walnut, and Snakewood. I bought another brand because of any emergency need recently, and I was very disappointed. In the future, I'll buy just this blade for my table saw.

Bought this to cut LVP Flooring
I read an article saying this was a good blade to cut LVP flooring. Unfortunately, I had a very large floor (20x30 basement) with lots of end cuts. While this started out fantastic, it did get a little dull quicker than I had anticipated. Don't get me wrong, it still cut fine and made a clean cut (no burrs) 'til the end the end of my project, but it seemed like it was taking longer and I was pressing down harder on my mitre saw. If you're an amateur like me, it's great for this purpose. If you're a professional, you may only get a few jobs out of it before it needs replaced. Not sure if it's worth the price at that frequency.

Two years of mildish use may not sound like much but when I bought this blade I did ...
Impossibly sharp and incredibly long lasting. I bought this two years ago for use on an old hitachi miter saw. I have not noticed ANY degradation of cut quality over TWO YEARS of mild to moderate use. Two years of mildish use may not sound like much but when I bought this blade I did not know what I was doing and performed relatively dangerous cuts causing the blade to seize and kickback on the miter saw; and yet I have the same cut quality as the day I installed it. The only con I have noticed is minor and maybe not even a bad thing overall for newbies: If I cut too hard (and cause chatter) or cut with inadequate work holding (and the blade is suddenly forced into a new cut line) the blue paint rubs off onto the work piece. This paint is pernicious and takes lots of sanding or another cut to remove especially from end grain. If you use this blade with the correct feed rate and firm (aka safe) work holding this will not occur. I learned that blue paint on my work meant I screwed up and had to find a new approach to make a cut so this con was actually a positive in my case. If the blade I bought for $40ish dollars two years ago ever stops cutting perfectly I will purchase the same exact thing again.

Bought in 2017โฆ Still Cutting Like It Has Something to Prove
I donโt usually write reviews for tools I bought years ago, but this one kind of earned it. I picked up the Makita A-93681 10-Inch 80 Tooth Micro Polished Miter Saw Blade back in 2017, threw it on my 10-inch miter saw, andโฆ basically forgot about itโin the best way possible. Itโs one of those โinstall it and move on with your lifeโ kind of purchases. Fast forward to now, and somehow the teeth are still sharp. Not โgood enough if you squintโ sharpโactually sharp. Iโve put this thing through years of hobby projects: trim work, random weekend builds, the occasional โmeasure once, cut twiceโ situationโฆ and it just keeps delivering clean cuts like itโs fresh out of the package. The 80-tooth setup really shines if you care at all about clean finishes. Cuts come out smooth enough that sanding feels optional (which, letโs be honest, is a huge win). It doesnโt tear up wood, doesnโt leave those ugly jagged edges, and doesnโt make you question your life choices halfway through a project. Also worth mentioning: it runs surprisingly smooth and quiet. No crazy vibration, no sketchy wobbleโjust steady, confident cutting. Itโs the kind of blade that makes you feel like youโre better at woodworking than you actually are. Iโm honestly more impressed by what it hasnโt done: โข Hasnโt dulled out after a few projects โข Hasnโt warped โข Hasnโt given me any โuh ohโ moments mid-cut For a hobbyist, this thing is basically a long-term investment. Iโm sure if youโre running a shop 8 hours a day youโll burn through it faster, but for weekend warriors, itโs borderline immortal. Only downside? It kind of ruins your expectations. Now I assume all blades should last nearly a decade, which Iโm pretty sure is not how this works. Bottom line: If you want clean cuts and a blade you wonโt have to think about again for years, this is it. Mineโs been going strong since 2017, and at this point Iโm half convinced itโll outlast me.

Cuts wood like a hot knife through butter.
Smaller profile that cuts easily and evenly leaving a smooth cross cut surface. Didn't realize how dull my miter saw blade was until I replaced it with this one. Needed an 80 tooth for my DeWalt table saw and tried the Wen. After suffering through jams and burns and irregular cut dimensions, I realized the new blade was warped, like a bicycle wheel out of true. Sent it back and ordered another one of these Makita blades and was surprised how much better it worked. True smooth cuts with no hang ups or snags while cutting. The wood just glided through the blade. Read somewhere these are not specifically designed for table saws, but seems to work fine on mine.

Very good quality. No regrets
I'm a handyman and certainly do not claim to be a trim carpenter but this blade cuts like a hot knife through butter. Good quality. Finished cut is smooth. Best I can say is I'm not disappointed about buying this blade.

Clean accurate cuts
I have been cutting oak trim. The cuts are clean and accurate. Have made over100 cuts on my compound miter saw and only slight fuzz on the end cut without backing. Excellent blade for the money
