Beautiful clock, sturdy, accurate timing - glad l don't have to keep altering it! Looks more expensive than it is and it has a clear face, easy to read. Love the chimes that you easily turn down, if you wish - really loud at high volume!!

The clock arrived, well packed, on the appointed day. At first there was a real tussle to remove the backboard (a common hardboard). A few squirts of WD40 did the trick (as always !). The controls now revealed turned out to be tiny and feebly indicated. A torch is needed. Nothing much happened for several hours. Eventually the clock came to life. I had turned the volume of the chime to the very lowest point. I didn't want great palace booming. The chime. when it came, turned out to be a very discreet, calm, distant tinkle - just what I wanted. So far, the clock keeps time well, judging by another radio-controlled clock I have.The general look of the clock is classical, solid and impressive.I am very pleased with this clock.

The clock arrived early and was reasonably well packaged. It was easy to fit the batteries and it immediately set itself to the correct time. However, the clock casing is in my opinion not very well made. The mitre joints were very poor with filler that was darker than the veneer. The the side panels are veneered mdf with the edges poorly finished with dark brown paint that had some white powder type stains. The mechanism is a cheap standard single battery type that you'd expect to find in a much cheaper clock. The chimes are ok and the volume control works fine, or you can take out the batteries and have no chimes if you prefer. We were very disappointed with this clock; in our opinion it is not worth £80, so we sent it back immediately.

Chimes sound very tinny and bear little similarity to Westminster chimes. Very disappointing but it does keep good timeWould return but I destroyed the packing - too much Amazon cardboard around at Christmas!!

Brought this Redbridge Radio Controlled Wooden clock for an elderly blind friend. She has had this for over a year now and is delighted with it. Time changes automatically so there is no need for blind friend to do anything except change battery. Not had to do this yet, but looks very straight forward.When the clock arrived, I set it up to check that it was working correctly over 5 days before delivering it as a present at Christmas. My cat, Bumper, got quite frustrated as the Westminster chime sounded similar to our door chime. He always runs and hides when the door chime sounds because he's a bit nervous of visitors, so he was running and hiding at regular intervals throughout the day. Fortunately for him, the clock does not chime after 9 pm and after 5 days the clock had gone.

This is a nice looking clock. After spending £74 and a lot of hours apart from the atomic time set (which works) I still cannot make the chime mechanism coordinate.My two 140 year old clocks keep the same time ....but chime.
