The leverage these loppers provide is amazing. Makes easy work of branches that were too thick for cutting with conventional loppers. High quality product. Pruned 80 fruit trees this winter and the blades held up incredibly well. Kept their sharpness. I highly recommend.

Great for when you need those bigger limbs gone with little upper body strength. Has worked well and seems to be durable.

I love this Rachel looper! I got it intending for my husband to use thinking the grip would be too wide for my small hands, and length would make it a bit heavy for me: early 60’s and not strong upper body. However, though the grip is a bit wide for my hands, once we figured out how it works I find it so easy to use it. The rachet function enables you to not have to exert a lot of force. If I can use it, anyone can use it!

I never realized how much these were missing from my gardening/yard work routine. They help cut so easily without having to bend down all the time. It takes minimal effort to cut now. Very well made.

Did the job but would have preferred bypass loper

The handles are longer than I thought they would be . They give me better leverage but are awkward at times.

These didn't work. Not at all. I couldn't even cut branches that I can usually cut with hand shears. The blade doesn't even make contact with the anvil surface, so cutting would not be complete even if I had been able to cut anything at all. I finished the entire job by using my old Fiskars 15-inch loppers instead and returned this useless non-functioning device to Amazon. I DO RECOMMEND the Fiskars 15-inch loppers for branches (even oak) up to one inch in diameter. This particular item was a complete failure, as well as being unnecessarily heavy and awkward to use.

Ratchet loppers need leverage to do bigger Jobs. These cut through thick limbs as thick as the jaws allow. Their long handles make for a powerful cutting force. The steel is high quality to last long between sharpening a. By the way, they are easy to sharpen with a diamond wand and some honing oil.

This is a fantastic tool. I have used this tool many times in the past and if one knows how to use it properly, cutting will be an easy enjoyable work to do. it is in the way the mechanism is designed that even a two inches diameter is an easy cut. I recommend this tool to anyone interested to try for themselves.
