Actually getting the hang of it
I thought I would make an update of my original review. This lightsaber allows me to be a big KID!! Anybody who says this is ONLY a kids toy doesn't know that they're missing. They have a bug up their butt. Adults love this too. This Star Wars lightsaber was rather difficult at first because it was very new to me and has a lot of "bells and whistles." As a matter of fact that's why this lightsaber is actually recommended for adults and older kids ages 14 and up; for this very reason- for safety and readiness; its a high tech electronic toy and also older kids dont get so frustrated so easily if things cant be figured out right away but after figuring out the directions very carefully and exploring all the "Bells and Whistles" so to speak and believe me, it has A LOT of "bells and whistles," it got a whole lot easier. You just have to be patient. Patience is something much younger children dont have much of . Each character or special sound in one of the 39 movie catchphrases has its own characteristic blade sound effect. I didn't pay too much attention to what number track it is but my favorite is Luke's voice that says "I am a jedi like my father before me." That is one of my favorite catchphrases from the Star Wars movies built into the lightsaber as well as the corresponding blade sound effects. My favorite color on this Star Wars lightsaber is what I call "Luke blue" corresponding to him as a jedi. I figured out how to thrust forward fast to get the blast effect and the blade for a split second flickers white. I also figured out how to play the music built into it from the Star wars movie soundtracks and how to go backwards . it depends how you aim the lightsaber. I also figure out how to save my desired settings. Just read the directions and explore it. Now I'm having 2 tons o fun with it. It can be addictive and very wholesome too. Good arm exercises. I do forms with it that I made up on my own. I incorporated practicing this lightsaber with practicing my tae kwan do forms, like sword forms, etc.. Besides, what Star Wars fan does not want to play around with it, right? I now find this very realistic and true to the movies. I just learned to tolerate the voice of "Teresa" coming on when turning the lightsaber on and off and when counting out the movie phrases and sounds and "Teresa" coming on when the battery is low. You will just have to get used to it but I learned to dismiss it as a miner issue. I also found out that the power will automatically shut down if dormant for 1 minute on standby mode with no motion. If you point the lightsaber down you can go backwards with music and sound and blade color or vice versa; something like that. Just read the directions. They get pretty straightforward before too long after exploring it enough and again you have to be patient. It's nice to have the sound turned up as loud as available. The twisting on-off effect really adds to the cool factor. this lightsaber makes me feel like a real jedi when practicing on it. Practicing/playing whatever you want to call it or whatever i feel like. It makes one feel like a real jedi (or sith if one wants to pretend they're joining Darth Vader's side, in which case you would turn on the red function of the blade. Whatever all the other colors mean I don't know. They just might be there to "spice up" the effects. I didn't pay all THAT much attention to who uses what color lightsber in the movies.) I am updating my feedback to a full 5 stars. Have fun!!

I love the lightsaber and would recommend this seller!
I purchased this lightsaber for Halloween and love it! I dressed as a Sith and could easily change the color to red with a flick of the wrist. Having the loop already on the hilt also means you can easily attach it to a belt with a clip after taking the blade off, something I hadn't thought of during the purchase (I had many questions about how I was doing it when I ran into other lightsaber-wielding characters!) Taking the blade off is also very easy, and I found myself stowing it in a backpack at times while I walked around with my saber on my belt. Then, if I wanted to play with the saber, I would pull out the blade and install it again (I preset the hex screws, so I just needed to tighten them once the blade was in), and in under 30 seconds, I was ready to start swinging! Everyone who went as a lightsaber-wielding character that I ran into asked about mine and wanted me to share where I got it. There were also a couple of times I had a crowd of kids gathered around my family wanting to see it. Daddy was cool for once ;-) I would recommend this particular lightsaber! You can change the blade's color so you can be any single-blade character you want! You can also change the sound it makes when you swing it, power it up, and other clashing and laser sounds to add to the fun!

Makes Weird Sound?? Edit: Easy Fix If You Have A Computor
First off, even though this light saber is very affordable. It is very much on par with some of the way more expensive ones. However, whenever I first got it, it was making a weird high-pitched noise, and I thought the speaker was damaged. However, it turns out the default sound whenever you turn it on just sounds weird, but it was an easy fix. With the saber on, I just plugged the data cable into my computer from the charging port, and after listening to the different sound files and making a copy of them, I deleted all of them from the Lightsaber, except for the one that I wanted. After that, it sounds normal. This lighter feels very high-quality, it is very bright and very loud as well. Other than the hiccup with the noise this is perfect

Worth it
So coolโs, I enjoy that it sounds like an actual lightsaber when you use it, audios a little delayed when it cuts on and off but I enjoy it very much

Switch design flaw
Cool but has design flaws to where the on/off button isnโt secure and slides right off.

Color
Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Hilt fine, got sound how I like it, but can't change colors. Stuck on color fading, and can't change it. Tried to open it to do a hard reset, completely fell apart. Don't buy anything from this brand. P.S. the instructions are horrible.

Instructions could be better
The saber handle is LEGIT. It's well made and polished and heavy. It took us a while to figure out all the different settings, but once it's on you can twist quickly to turn the blade on and off. You can also hold down the button and twist, and if the blade is up it will start cycling through the fx set, and if the blade is down it will cycle downward through them. There's the dark saber, Kylo's unstable saber, and regular saber noises. There are different volume levels and the loudest is actually really cool. The sound is accurate to the movement and you can't help playing with it, even when moving back to the boys room when they've left it on the floor. Definitely the best saber we've owned by far.
