 Great product design. Clean and simple. Strong magnet! I could imagine this for Multiple purposes.

Just install them, don't play with them. I needed 2 magnets to mount my rifle horizontally due to the center of gravity so I bought a second magnet. Holding a magnet in each hand I accidentally let them touch. The only problem was that my pinky finger got caught in the middle. Ouch... lesson learned. It takes 2 hands to pull the magnets apart and the one that's pinched with the magnet doesn't count. Needless to say it hurt, but after the fact, I had to say YEAH BABY! that's what I'm talking about. That rifle is going nowhere!!

- Using one for Mossberg 590 Shockwave. Magnet and firearm are mounted vertically. The rifle will slip from vibration if someone slams a door in the home or if the kids jump in the room. I expected better holding power from this.- Using second one for Glock 21 10mm Pistol. Magnet is horizontal and slide-back is vertical.- Both were installed in my gun closet (secure room) but neither seem to hold as well as I expected. They are strong but it certainly does not take the advertised force to pull directly from the magnet. I would 'imagine' the rated force applies to entire surface area capability, of which for my use -- would never be what is actually used.- The magnet is slightly smaller than the total surface area. I have not ripped one apart but it 'seems' as though these are blocks of something with a smaller rectangular shaped magnet on the permanent-mounting surface and on the application side for attaching a fire-arm must be a metal plate covered in a rubbery-like substance that is transferring the magnetic properties to the face. All in all, not bet - but was hoping for better.* Would we buy again? Yes - if we find nothing better.

Got this to mount my gun under the dashboard. The double sided tape worked perfectly. The weapon is easy to reach and the powerful magnet keeps it in place. I feel so much safer now; I once had some people approach my car and my gun was in the glove box and I could not reach it without disconnecting my seat belt and stretching across the front seat into a very awkward position. Now its right under the steering wheel, out of site and I can get it with one hand.

My husband and I had been looking for a easy solution to keep a gun in our living room while keeping it hidden so we decided to buy this product. We mounted it under our coffee table and this works perfectly. The magnet is single sided so it doesn't mess with the remotes or any electronics on top of the table. Also, it comes with both screws and a 3M sticker for mounting; we used the 3M sticker which seems to be working just fine even though we were a little unsure how it would hold up. Anyway, I would recommend practicing removing the gun from the magnet a few times to get use to the motion if you never used this type of mount. I have smaller hands so it works best for me by twisting and rotating the gun until I have the handle and then pulling it downward. I suppose for quicker use we could just keep it in a 90 degree position but we keep ours flat to concele it better.

53 pounds ONLY if you use the screws. If you decide to use the double sided tape then good luck holding the weight of the actual magnet up. I prepped the surface and installed these on the side of my night stand using the tape provided in the box. After 30 hours I stuck a Benchmade AFO II knife on the magnet to hold it. After 6 hours the weight of the knife pulled the magnet away from the night stand. So needless to say just use the screws and toss the tape in the trash.

Powerful industrial grade magnet, very impressive. I wanted to attach the adhesive on my car counsel but i could tell it was too porous so I didn't even bother. I opted for under the dash with screws. There was no wiring behind so it was an easy install with the self tap screws they gave. Gun is out of sight and yet handy with a simple reach. Feels good.

I bought this to mount in my vehicle. Most vehicles do not have a flat place big enough to mount this magnet in a way that would be useful. The idea of using the double-sided tape to mount this magnet is laughable. You will have to mount it with screws.I'll keep it & find some use for it. A good strong magnet is always good to have around - but good strong magnets can be had for way less that what this cost.
