I've been using the old-school style of bonnet for my 3a curls for ages - I use it fresh out of the shower to stop my hair from dripping everywhere, but don't dry it fully in the dryer as it gets frizzy. This beautiful monstrosity blows the old dryers out of the water. (pun intended?) First, rather than having a motor and housing to drag around, this bonnet dryer has a tube that just slides onto your regular hairdryer. I have a blow dryer with a fair amount of power, and it might not work as well with smaller or more gentle hairdryers. I keep the heat level fairly low so there's no risk of hair damage. It still works beautifully. Next, there is actual room for your curls even if you have a ton of hair - you can pineapple your hair up by putting the dryer on with your hair flipped upside down into it, then righting yourself before starting the air. It doesn't crush my curls like the old-style ones could. Another point in its favor is the air flow. Rather than coming in from a central point in the back, there are two cloth tubes that bring the air to either side of your head. The large bonnet section allows all that air to circulate a LOT better than ones I've tried in the past. Because of this, it dries hair a lot more quickly than others I've tried. Some days you might want to sit there with your head surrounded by the white noise of warm, blowing air and pretend the kids are not shrieking and there's no laundry that needs to be done--It's the equivalent of a grown-up blanket fort! However, if you need to get your hair dried fast, it can absolutely do that too. Overall, I have no reservations about recommending this bonnet - the chin strap is comfortable, the air circulation is great... the design may be slightly terrifying to look at, but by gosh, it really gets the job done.

I purchased the Hooded Hair Dryer Bonnet (Size L) and it’s been a major upgrade from my previous dryer cap. It’s noticeably larger, which makes a big difference for bulkier hair types — I have locs that reach the middle of my back, and this bonnet fits them comfortably without feeling tight or awkward. The band around the head is soft and secure, making it much more comfortable to wear, even while sleeping. I was able to sleep with it on and wake up with my hair fully dried, which was a pleasant surprise. The dual-tube design seems to distribute heat evenly, and it definitely speeds up the drying process. If you have thick, curly, or long hair and struggle with smaller dryer caps, this one is absolutely worth trying. It’s portable, easy to use, and works well for deep conditioning treatments too.

Found this to be lightweight and easy to put on and use. I appreciate the long hose, however it doesn't fit snug to stay attached to your hair dryer. I wrapped a rubber band around the hose and hairdryer to hold it in place. It fits easily into the storage bag.

Easy to use and gets the job done.

Seems like a well made product, and I like that it has airflow on both sides. However, it does not fit well over rollers, even the 3/4 inch ones. If you're just drying your natural curls, I'm sure it's great, but I think this type of bonnet should fit over basic rollers.

I was honestly iffy about buying this because I’ve had a portable hair dryer before and it was terrible. This one is perfect. It’s compact but still powerful, dries my hair quickly, and doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and great for travel bc you can hook it up to a hotel blow dryer. I’ve been using it at home for the most part. The heat is just right and you can adjust your own blow dryer temperature. I’m really glad I gave this one a chance definitely worth it.

Great bonnet, total game changer. First time buying one and I chose well. I’ve got 3C curls and use Cantu curl cream with a bit of Eco Styler. Styling used to take ages, but now I just pop this bonnet on, use the hot/cold air setting on my dryer, and get perfect results every time. Hair’s set and ready for cast breaking the next morning. Good quality, affordable, and gives salon-level results at home, hands-free. Would definitely repurchase.

OMG....Natural curl Game Changer. Not only do I have amazing soft curls with way less fly aways, but I can also multi task while my hair is drying. Love this hair dryer hood.

easy to use. I put my hair in and while my hair getting dry, I'll do my makeup or skin routine. only problem is you have no control about how your hair look after drying.

Very large like the elastic fabric. around the head piece Large enough for curlers. distributes heat well. Was worth it for me.
