Failed to meet expectations, all-around
I gave this item two stars for the ambitious idea. It's such a nice thought to be able to use a new innovation that will not contribute to our landfill and pollution problems. That being said, I was sorely disappointed in the product itself. When I used a spoon with hot soup, the spoon's flavor tainted the soup's flavor. When I tried using the spoons with creamy peanut butter, it couldn't hold up to the scooping action. Each spoon broke again and again. The spoons won't survive a dish of ice cream, unless it's mostly melted. I tried eating the spoons as a snack, but it just doesn't have an appetizing flavor.

Sporks
I love them but I have found my guests reluctant to even try them. 🥴. I got the pepper ones and the flavor is very mild. I’ll keep trying to change people’s minds.

Does not work
Melts in 5 seconds, use stainless steel, that's the most exp friendly. Every spoon wrapped in plastic, OMG. These costa close to stainless stell. Better spend double to give everyone a stainless stell spoon. Never using or recommend this. Do not water your money

Not quite sure yet—
I tested these out on the family and they weren’t really into them but I think I’ll give them another chance, maybe with ice cream this time

Have your cake and eat it, too ...along with the spork!
I ordered these IncrEDIBLE vanilla flavored sporks on a whim simply because I'd heard about them and was curious. They arrived individually packaged in recyclable wrappers. I broke the first spork out of the box by trying to push it through its wrapper. Oops! The dogs appreciated my mistake and took care of the pieces after much curious sniffing. The next spork I opened successfully by tearing the wrapper, and it did a good job getting canned peaches from a bowl to my mouth. I was impressed that the spork showed no sign of sogginess after sitting in the peach juice. As far as taste, the vanilla flavor is almost nonexistent. It's barely a hint of vanilla and is only detectable by sucking on the empty spork. Trying to eat the used utensil isn't a pleasant experience. It's hard, crunchy, and practically flavorless. I rated this item four stars overall only because it is an edible spork like it claims to be. I really like the idea of this product, but think it needs a bit more tweaking when it comes to the flavor. It also needs to come down in cost in order to be a real contender in the vast world of disposable cutlery options. For now, however, it's worth the cost just for the novelty of being able to eat your utensil. I think a classroom full of kids would absolutely love these as part of a lesson on ways to reduce waste.

Made in India. Taste like hard cardboard. Crazy overpriced.
If you’re expecting something like a cookie. . . Then you will surely be disappointed. They are quite hard and taste like had cardboard. Honestly. . . Unless someone told me. . . I would never dream that these are edible. . . Or even that you should attempt to eat them. They are individually wrapped. They are fairly hard and sturdy. These sporks are Made in India. At the current price of 40 bucks, that makes the cost .40 each, which is crazy overpriced. Being that you’re probably not going to want to eat them anyway. . . . You can purchase plastic. . . wood. . . and compostable sporks. . . all for a lot less than this item.

In Terms of Function and Taste … They Work
My expectation of these edible sporks was pretty low until I tried them. WHAT YOU GET A box of 100 individually paper-wrapped edible sporks (vanilla flavor). The ingredients for these forks are wheat flour, brown rice flour, corn flour, chickpea flour, oat flour, cane sugar, guar gum and vanilla flavor (1 g carb and 20 calories per spork). Each spork is about 5 ¼” long. The spork end is 2” long and 1 ½” wide (at widest point). The 3” inch tapered handle is ~ ¾” at the widest point and ~ ¼” at the narrowest. The expiration date on the box is October 2023, so the shelf-life appears to be maybe 6 months (based on the date ordered). HOW THEY PERFORM … AND TASTE Upon opening the wrapper, you are faced with what looks like a cardboard spork that looks like it may act as cardboard if contacting anything moist. The first package I opened, I was greeted with a few “tines” missing. They are somewhat brittle and can break, but they were much sturdier than I expected. I took a handful on a weeklong trip that involved a lot of driving time. These sporks proved their value on the trip as we used them for eating some of our prepared foods. If a tine or two was broken off, it was still useful in stabbing things like blueberries and strawberries. My discovery is that using the sporks doesn’t generally cause them to break and the broken sporks appear to be the result of handling during shipping. I found the sporks to be rather strong and they don’t fray or weaken when getting wet. They LOOK like cardboard, but certainly don’t ACT like cardboard … they are quite sturdy and functional. The taste is somewhat difficult to nail down. There is a vanilla flavor, but it is not overwhelming. I honestly felt like I was eating a fork-like version of a fortune cookie … they are similar in texture and taste. This company offers forks, straws and sporks in other flavor that cover the savory (black pepper/oregano) as well as the sweet (vanilla/chocolate). Bottom line, these edible sporks get the job done and are pleasantly consumable (I snacked on one while writing this review).
