A great product. Wish it were a little more sturdy, but it does the job!
The ultimate in ant destruction (also roaches, but my problem was ants). I have to wear a face shield and breathing filter to use this with Diatomaceous earth. Clouds of DE go everywhere when I use it. It's a little frail, especially the cheap plastic mason jar that comes with it. But once it's loaded and ready to go, it is terrific. Takes me three or four mason jars of DE to dust a six foot perimeter around the house and all the cracks and crevices in the brick work three feet high and lower (930 sq foot house). I also purchased InTice 10 Broad Spectrum Perimeter Bait Insecticide (on Amazon), an all natural powdered product a little thicker than pure DE. My previouos exterminator used it. I loaded that into the plastic mason jar and , it did fine! Heavy enought to not rise up in clouds. It also sprayed out more gradually, which was great. You beed less of Intice than you do of DE, so it was perfect! One plastic mason jar was enough. Spray this stuff all over your grass and foliage and on ant trails. I do think the device could be improved, but then again, I am also very happy about it and stringly recommend it to people with ant/roach problems. My greatest reservation with this device is that it seems fragile. Then again, my exterminator raised monthly treatment prices from $55/month to $93/month this year, so even if I have to replace this, it's still cheaper to use this for a few months. But so far , it has held up. Just get the right size battery and charger for it.

Did a lovely job
I bought this to spread diatomaceous earth on my garden and it worked beautifully all season. However... my husband has taken it for his own and uses it for work now. It just one day vanished and when I asked he said its in the work van. I am not happy about him taking it but I suppose it proves that it has multiple uses. He has leaf blowers and all sorts of tools but had to take mine. I will be buying myself a new one next spring. I will paint it hot pink if I have to as a husband deterrent. Haha

Battery powered Diatomaceous earth duster
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this product design over a hand pump version for ease of use . Bonus for me, I already have several Of the required batteries. Works well: This works quite well with diatomaceous earth! The slugs and snails in my veggie garden are no longer winning!! Just point and shoot. Speed is controlled by trigger press.

Excellent Upgrade from Manual Dusting
This electric diatomaceous earth duster has been a fantastic addition to my gardening tools for pest control. Using my existing DeWalt 20V batteries, it easily powers up and makes dusting my flower garden a breeze. The dispensing of the DE powder is excellent. The variable speed trigger allows for precise control – a light pull provides a gentle dusting, while a full trigger pull delivers more coverage. I was impressed by how efficiently it used the DE; one canister was enough for my entire garden, a significant improvement over the amount I used with a manual duster. The blower seems to atomize the powder, resulting in a finer, more even coating on the plants. The included nozzle twists on securely and its smooth metal design prevents clogs. While primarily used for dusting, I did test it as a leaf blower. It's not powerful enough for large leaf cleanup on the driveway, but it's incredibly useful for blowing out any remaining DE powder from the duster after use, making cleanup easy. One of the best aspects is its ease of handling. Even with a full canister of DE, the duster is lightweight and well-balanced, allowing me to comfortably complete the dusting job with just one hand. The noise level is comparable to a handheld vacuum – not silent, but not overly loud either. Having several DeWalt batteries already, I appreciated the option to purchase the duster without one, making it a more affordable solution. This product has exceeded my expectations, providing far better and more efficient DE application than manual methods. It effectively blows the powder about 6-8 feet in a fine, even cloud, providing excellent coverage for my plants. I highly recommend this electric DE duster for anyone looking for a more efficient way to manage garden pests.

Duster 2.0, it’s that good
Serious duster for all dusts… slip the blue pex line over the brass tube (fits snuggly) for some distance between you and your intended target. Death all around.

BURNING / SMOKING after 10 mins
I first tried an almost diatomaceous earth (DE)-full (peanut butter-like) jar that came with this product, and it splattered big clumps of DE all over. I then reduced the DE to only 25% of the jar and that enabled fine powder to come out. Make sure to wear a mask because fine powder can cause lung cancer and other issues years down the road. However, what concerned me was, as another reviewer in May, 2025 warned, after I too, used it for about 10 mins (and not even holding the trigger non-stop as I was barely pressing it for 1-2 seconds at most in order not to splatter diatomaceous earth all over), the blower handle bar became hot. The motor speed slowed down. I assumed the battery was out (and I have barely used 2 year old De-Walt DCB207 20V Lithium-Ion batteries, which the piece of paper coming with this blower says is compatible), so I tried to recharge it and put in a new battery. The De-Walt charger warned the battery was hot, so I placed both the blower and battery in a large walk-in commercial cooler (about 38 degrees F) to cool down. After about 10 mins cooling down, the battery charged without issues and the blower was cold to the touch. Anyways, I put in a new battery and tried again. It worked.... for 30 seconds, and then the motor sound and power slowed down. At first I second guessed myself if I was using the old battery. But then I realized this was the new battery and the problem must be from the blower overheating. Sure enough, the handle felt hot. Well, my friend wanted me to try the DE on a few other plants. About 30 seconds more of sporadic spraying, the motor slowed down even more, and then smoke started spewing from the motor. I promptly stopped using it and removed the battery. The new battery was now hot to the touch, after only about 1 min's worth of work. I bought mine in July, 2025. The other person who reported a similar issue wrote their review in May, 2025. Either quality control has gone down recently because other reviews don't mention this, or we both had bad units, or the manufacturer switched to cheaper components after Trump's tariffs threats. I'll be returning mine. Hopefully it didn't damage my De-Walt batteries.

Great product for me.
Mixed reviews but works fine for me applying diatomaceous earth around and underneath our home.
