Great gift idea
It was a gift and he loved it.

Lifetime warranty
I bought this as a gift for my family Christmas gift exchange, not knowing who would end up receiving it. But I knew, man or woman, it would be a very useful tool. My brother ended up with it and he was very excited about it. The first thing he said was “Lifetime warranty” it being a Craftsman. I love my brother, but he is a cheapskate, and ‘Free replacement’ are among his favorites words. I feel good about giving a gift that is quality made as well as useful. It really was the perfect gift.

Quality construction – All in one tools are clumsy to use – Very odd carrying case
I’ve included some photos to help you follow this review. In my youth, the Sears Catalog reigned supreme. Craftsman tools were one of the many brands under the Sears umbrella. They offered a lifetime warranty for their tools and honored it no question asked. But time weakened the brand and Craftsman’s lifetime warranty now comes with Russian style interrogation and maybe you get a replacement tool. The Craftsman 14-in-1 multi-purpose tool is a pair of needle nose pliers with other tools embedded in the two handles. Much like a Swiss Army Knife, these secondary tools can be pulled out of the handle. With both handles opened, the tool looks like it belongs in the Edward Scissorhands movie. Their function is more clumsy than precise. But this is to be expected with this design. As a pair of pliers with wire cutting capability, the Craftsman does OK. The handles are too bulky and smooth to give you the best confidence in use. But as a product intended as an emergency set of tools, the Craftsman is acceptable. The price is right for what the product offers. Many people would place this tool in their car or boat to be there when it is needed. A carrying case is needed for this purpose. And one comes with the tool – sort of. The case is black fabric with a snap closure. It is way too small for the tool (see photo). The pliers' handles are spring loaded. The case needs to compress these springs so the tool is compact. But the case design fails in this regard. The tool in the case looks like a 50 years old man donning his wedding attire from 20 years ago. The case is totally wrong for this tool. Overall the Craftsman 14-in-1 multi-purpose tool is a good product with a goofy carrying case. I give it a B+ rating.

It was a hit!
There's a certain smile someone gives when they open a present and are pleased as punch. So was the case with this item. I gave it as a Christmas gift to a close friend, and the very next day it could be found on his belt as he headed in to his automotive mechanic job. I've used a number of multi-tools, and to me this seemed better than most. Considering the price, however, this far exceeded my expectations.

Odd design choices
Overall, this Craftsman multitool is a little better than bargain alternatives from Ozark Trails and the like but a world behind those from Leatherman, Gerber, and Victorinox. The $25 sticker isn't out of line, yet I still expected more. Notably: 1.) The frame is covered in a thin and smooth aluminum facade that's quite prone to slipping if your hands are sweaty/greasy/etc. 2.) None of the tools are accessible without opening the butterfly, pulling the tool out, then closing the butterfly to use it. 3.) Because of their position/orientation, you will often hit the object you're cutting against the base of the frame when using the knife and saw blades.

La herramienta es buena sin embargo algo frágil, la tijera se rompió a la semana y ya no es funcional
