A BOOK OF GREAT INSIGHT AND MEMORIES FROM A SOUTHERN BOY
Published after Lewis's death in March 1994, this book contains the "best of the best" from his previous books, columns, etc. Grizzard is a consummate story teller. Many of the characters, topics, attitudes, etc. are an accumulation of experiences that he had from his early childhood through his professional accomplishments. This book is well worth the price of admission you must pay to read and enjoy Grizzard at his very best, Had his daddy the Major reviewed this book, he would have said that it was simply "mahvelous" son. Read and enjoy.

Lewis Grizzard reading
If you enjoy homespun wisdom, read or listen to any of Lewis Grizzard's material. I followed him for years and rarely disagreed with him. He could put in to comedy almost any of life's tribulations and get you to smile about your troubles. He lived life to the fullest, even with his heath problems. Like Mark Twain, he packed them in when he spoke. As a full blown GA Dawg graduate and fan, he had no equal.Read this and anything else of his you can get your hands on. He is gone now, but not forgotten.A wonderful brother-in-law, who has passed away, spent his final days listening to Lewis Grizzard tapes that he requested from me.Like Flip Wilson once said, "You owe yourself a try on."

Great Book, Easy to Read, Funny!!
This book is a collection of "short stories", snippets of humor, etc. by Lewis Grizzard. I really enjoyed it. It was easy to pick it up, read a few stories, and then return later to repeat the process without feeling like I had to follow a long, drawn-out story line. His insights on life in general are funny and real. It will be especially appealing to readers who enjoy southern humor sort of in the same mindset as Jeff Foxworthy.
