Sleek look, good price, lots of QoL features
With the exception of one thing, this board is great. The pricing is frequently excellent, compared to many x870 boards, while generally providing a feature set well above that of other x870 boards. The board is very heavy, which may be an issue for some, but it does make the board feel like significantly more premium. A lot of that weight comes from the various heatsinks and m.2 covers, and they do an excellent job, so much so that the vrm fan on my AIO basically hasn't ever come on. The board design in white is fantastic, and I must point out how many things have been colored matched to make the board almost entirely silver or white. It really does look excellent. Ports are for the most part placed in very good locations, although I would have perhaps appreciated an additional fan header on the top of the board for rear exhaust fans. One small quibble is that the sata ports are unfortunately directly beneath where a gpu would sit, making it very difficult to mess around with. Ideally, these would just be moved down into the space between the top pcie slot and the bottom two. My one real gripe with this board is the pcie lane sharing. To put it frankly, I really don't like how it's done. On this board, you have three gen5 nvme slots and one gen4 slot. However, to support those extra two gen5 nvme slots, the use of either results in the *gpu* pcie lanes being cut to x8. I frankly do not understand why this board chose to priotize gen5 ssd slots when they have little purpose for the vast majority of users. These being gen4 would have been much better, because as it is, I cannot really use those two slots unless I am willing to potentially give up performance (granted, gen4 x8 is far far faster than most gpus/workloads need, but it can impact others). Provided you can live with the lane sharing arrangement, this board is excellent. The bios 8-segment display, easy release button (a huge QoL feature, something I sorely needed on my last motherboard), and almost entirely toolless design makes it just a breeze to use. Oh, and it supports windows dynamic lighting! No need for external RGB software... unless you want your RAM to match lol

High Quality lots of connections and great aesthetics! Not for those with more than 2 M.2s!
Great Motherboard! High quality lots of connectivity. That said don't use the 3rd or 4th M. 2 slots as you will cut your GPU lanes from 16 to 8 lanes (Just an FYI as that is a deal breaker for some) . Other than that the front HDMI and power buttons on board make it a great test bench or for when your adding parts or working on your PC and don't want to hook everything up. Personally they could have added one more ARGB header as 3 is good but in high end builds with multiple sets of fans and Cooler as well as accessories sometimes 3 isn't enough. I got this at a very low price in used excellent condition and Woot has it cheap sometimes as well it's a great value for the money for an X870 Chipset motherboard and accommodates my 9800X3D and 5080 quite well. Very nice build quality and I build PCs for a living so I see a lot of boards. Install was a breeze and BIOS had many features and is constantly updated. Overall I am very happy with this ICE version for my all white build.

Clean White Beast of a Board
Really happy with the X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE so far. The white design looks amazing in my build and the layout made the first setup surprisingly painless, with plenty of fan and RGB headers where they’re needed. Performance has been rock solid with my Ryzen chip and DDR5, and having Wi‑Fi 7 plus tons of USB and M.2 slots makes the system feel very ‘next‑gen’ and future‑proof. BIOS is easy to navigate, updates went smoothly, and features like Q‑Flash and the screwless M.2 slots are small touches that actually make building less stressful. Overall, it’s a great-looking, feature-packed board that’s been a pleasure to build and game on On top of that, the BIOS menu is absolutely stunning – super modern, clean, and way more polished than anything I’ve used before, to the point where it actually makes tweaking settings feel fun instead of intimidating.

Looks SHARP!!!
In a white case, this MB just looks amazing! The Bios looks like the board, Icy and awesome, easy to use. The software GCC is simple, and thats great because it just works, no crashing and problems like other brands. The sound chip on this MB is soo good, I traded my wireless and went back to a wired headset. 100% Worth the buy!

Beautiful and expandable to whatever you need it to do
Absolutely beautiful motherboard full of expansion options and top of the line performance for a very fair price. This was my first build with rgb lighting and liquid cooling. I was extremely impressed with the number and variety of ports available for fans, cooling, usb hard drives, rgb, and argb. The motherboard has been running stable and has so far been very reliable. I am particularly impressed with the onboard error code and diagnosis display that once you are running windows displays the cpu temperature. The bios is the most customizable I have ever seen and allows to to control fan speeds, monitor voltages and temperatures in a variety of locations across the board with visual indications and has several options to take advantage of high end cpus that can automatically overclock aspects of the board while maintaining stability of the system. What I like most about this compared to a prebuilt is that this provides so many options to expand in the future whether I want to use one of the 4 data ports, add 3 more m.2 ssds or use some of the other 3 pci express ports for even more usb ports, audio, or more storage.

Stay Away from this Faulty Motherboard
Stay as far away from this motherboard at all costs. I have been through 2 now in the span of 3 months. The first motherboard was the one I ordered via Amazon - after getting it hooked up to my new build, it would never post. I thought maybe my wiring was bad or one of the other parts (i.e. CPU, RAM, etc.) was bad. I ended up taking it to a repair shop because I couldn't figure out what I had done wrong. They tested it out and confirmed that the motherboard itself was faulty. I ended up getting the motherboard back and submitted a claim directly with Gigabyte and sent the board to them. It took over 2 weeks and they never sent me any updates or notices about what was going on with the motherboard. Then randomly one day I got a notification that a shipment was heading my way from Gigabyte. Cool. I get the "new" motherboard and have the shop go ahead and put it in. Boom. It posts. Everything is working as expected. Fast forward 2 months later, all of a sudden my PC starts randomly blue screening without warning, over and over and over again. I do some troubleshooting, but can't figure it out. Back to the repair shop. They find that 3 of the 4 RAM slots have gone bad (only slot 2 is still working). I am switching to an ASUS motherboard and hopefully putting all of these PC woes behind me, but I will NEVER be buying a Gigabyte motherboard ever again, and neither should you. You have been warned.

Clean Aesthetic, Rock-Solid Performance
I’ve been building PCs for a while now, and the X870 AORUS Elite ICE has quickly become one of my favorite motherboards to work with. First off, this thing looks amazing—the white/silver finish paired perfectly with the theme of my build in the Lian Li 011 Dynamic. Fitment was no issue at all, and it complements the clean layout of the case beautifully. Performance-wise, it's been flawless. Running it with a Ryzen 9 9800X3D, 32GB of DDR5, and a 7900 XTX—no hiccups whatsoever. BIOS was easy to navigate (honestly one of the smoother UIs I’ve used), and everything posted right out of the box. PCIe 5.0 support is a nice future-proofing touch, and the VRMs stay cool even under load. Plenty of USB ports, smart fan headers, and the built-in Q-Flash Plus saved me some time during the setup. It also has just enough RGB to keep things interesting without going overboard, which is perfect for my build. Overall, if you’re aiming for a white-themed build or just want a reliable, feature-rich board that looks as good as it performs, this is a fantastic choice. Gigabyte nailed it with this one.

Powerful, Reliable, and Future-Proof
I recently decided to rebuild my PC with the upcoming RTX 5080 in mind, and the Gigabyte X870 motherboard was the perfect choice to base my system around. I’ve always been a fan of Gigabyte boards, and every generation seems to get better with both features and performance—and this one is no exception. Design & Build Quality The white design looks fantastic in my case and pairs perfectly with a clean aesthetic build. The board feels solid and premium, with a well-thought-out layout that makes installation and cable management much easier. Performance & Features The X870 platform brings serious performance upgrades. Between support for next-gen CPUs, DDR5 memory, and high-speed storage options, this board is built for the future. The BIOS is straightforward and responsive, making tweaking and overclocking simple, even for those who aren’t experts. Wi-Fi 7 Speeds – A Game-Changer One of the standout features for me is the built-in Wi-Fi 7 card. The speeds are so fast and consistent that I don’t even need to run a dedicated Ethernet line anymore. My wireless connection is just as fast and reliable as a wired one, which is something I never thought I’d say. For gaming, streaming, and everyday use, it’s been flawless. Final Thoughts Overall, the Gigabyte X870 is an awesome motherboard that checks every box: powerful, reliable, feature-rich, and built for the future. If you’re planning a high-end build—especially with next-gen GPUs like the 5080—this board is a fantastic foundation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) – Gigabyte continues to impress year after year. Highly recommended for builders who want performance and reliability without compromise.

PRETTY WHITE MOTHERBOARD 😍
I am impressed by its integrated gaming features, heat sinks, and extra ports for add-on components and fan modifications. The flexible top and bottom motherboard mounting and the convenient GPU release button are particularly useful for building and modifying a PC. The motherboard feels high-quality, substantial, and well-suited for future upgrades. The BIOS was initially challenging, but after a few updates, I found it quite intuitive. Using a 9800x3D CPU, performance met expectations with minimal issues. However, I recommend flashing the BIOS from the oldest to the newest version sequentially, without renaming files, as suggested on Reddit. Good luck..
