Worked REALLY well for my Shire Draft horse with HUGE hooves when he had an abcess and needed wraps. I needed something the stuck fast, as holding up a huge hoof and leg AND trying to vet wrap before he put his foot down was difficult. These are VERY sticky. You have to find a way to "prepare" them without them without them sticking to your fingers. Once I figured out a little system for me (basically touching them as little as possible at the very edges), they were wonderful. Happy to have them and love that there are 12 in the pack!

My horse has had some hoof issues this winter. So I’ve been bandaging her hooves. I do a diaper, vet wrap, this sticky mat, then my duct tape. I’m pleasantly surprised. Glad it came in a 6 pack because one of them came back and stuck to its self while I was pealing it. I ended up having to throw it out. But so far the hoof wrap has lasted 2 days. Even though she took her hoof from me and set it down in the snow it still stuck to the vet wrap no problem. I’ll likely order again to keep some on my first aid kit.

It is thin, I would recomend using 2 . Sticke very well.

Waste of money and time

These are a little small for my friesian, they are tricky to put on - tend to glue onto themselves: imagine windy, a horse moving around for some reason etc, sticky hands from applying stuff beneath it etc. usually end up using at least three for two hoofs, sometimes four. However, IF they are put on properly they can stay on for almost 24 hrs if lucky. They are the best out there, tried everything else: boots of different kinds, tape, diapers - you name it. So very expensive, and could certainly use some re-design, however, this is what there is currently.

Great product for short term hoof treatments. This is a thin cover for hooves. I wasted 2 of these the first time I tried to separate the backing. I then tried to pull the backing 1/4 of the way back while securing my horse hoof between my knees ; worked so much better then I continued to peel the backing off over the hoof. I secured it with vet wrap ( for stall rest) the once I let my horse out to graze, I put duct tape over hoof cover

The good: Size is big enough for Quarter horses and Haflingers, may fit a draft horse but not if the hooves are very large. I had to cut about an inch off the back to keep it off the hair on my quarter horse leg. It is easy to cut to the proper size with scissors. I used the piece I cut off the back to help secure the front. The bad: It did not stay on overnight.... it is very thin and the toe (where I needed it most) wore thru and then the whole thing just came loose. My Sr. Horse basically just walks around... so I was disappointed it did not even last over night (6pm to 6am).

Amazing and convenient! Our first aid kit will never be without these again
