Q: What stain color used in advertisement?

I order the mantel and was utterly shocked at how much I paid for basically 2x boards. The description in the ad stated it was a rustic beam. When I received it I could have made it myself by staining my own boards and putting them together in a rectangle very disappointed.

Q: Being over the fireplace, is there a concern about combustion?
