Purchased the Lensoul 1080p camera to replace older, more basic camera.I was quite impressed with the look of it upon unpacking, being smaller and less obtrusive than I was expecting. As cameras go it's a nice looking little unit.The main attraction for me was the 110° field of view, which would be capable of capturing everything in the hallway at once that the old camera could only do when panning.Once set up and running it was fine initially but after a few hours it went offline.As there's no power-on indicator I couldn't be sure if it was a power issue or network. Since I had a spare mechanical timer I set it to power off every 6 hours and then switch back on. This had limited success, often the unit would go offline long before the 6 hourly reset. Occasionally it would stay offline after the reset. I kinda lost interest after a few weeks of this and reverted to my previous (cheaper) camera.Recently I read online that some wireless cameras can struggle if they are in a weak signal area. I hadn't previously considered this a possibility since it's positioned about 8 ft from the router, albeit through a wall and floor. So I obtained a signal booster and set it up in the same room as the camera. I'm currently writing this review on the booster and were both positioned as far from each other as you can get in our home (6 walls and a floor) with 3 out of 4 bars strength.And the camera is offline.I now know it's not a power issue as the 2x LEDs come on when no other light source is available. I know the wifi isn't (or shouldnt be) the issue as there's a 300mb booster sat next to the camera.If there was an Ethernet socket on the camera i'd settle for hard wiring but sadly there isn't.Ultimately as good as the features of this camera are they aren't worth anything if the unit doesn't work.At this point I think I'm going to stretch for a blink or arlo in the near future but in the meantime my old and cheap basic camera is still working just fine.

The Lensoul 1080 IP camera was as described and arrived within a day using Prime. The cam was very easy to set up and works well. I have set it in our shop so we can keep an eye out, particularly if our alarm goes off, which happens once in a while, but luckily has always been a false alert. This way we can see if this is the case and not need to travel in to do what can be done in a matter of seconds. The cam also works with 4G when I'm out and about, but the signal can drop out depending on the strength of the phone signal, not a fault of the cam it has to be said.This cam can have more units added to the network for other rooms etc. and I would definitely buy again. After reading LOTS of reviews for all the IP cams on the market, some costing 3-4 times this device I decided to chance this relatively cheap unit and I don't have buyer's regret at all. Recommended.

Once again another poor product that is tied to the cloud and mobile phone apps - Not all of us are mobile friendly.I asked the seller if this works with pc and laptop and he said yes - It apparently doesn't!I wanted to use this with web browser in pc or laptop like the old 720p cameras but it wont and now after buying it the seller has confirmed it won't work with pc or laptop in a browser - so why does it say it works with PC or Laptop on the main description?Doesnt really matter as I could not get this device to connect to any of my networks and I work in IT networking.Tried with cable but the router shows no ip address is taken from the DHCP pool.Tried with 3 different routers all on 2.4ghz and 7 character password with no special characters which is the usual reason for these not connecting.Tried manual ocr scanning of the code under the camera to be told "device id is not recognised" so either way I could not get the camera working and have had to instigate a return!It seems all the new 1080p ip cams are cloud based with phone app control which is a shame as i use laptop and pc to control all my cameras when abroad or at home so if this is what you need you might have to stick with 720p cams!

This product is great value for money. It’s very simple to use and set up. You basically download the free app that’s provided in the user manual and go from there, it’s all step by step and easy to understand.I personally have the camera set up like a security camera near the back door. You can set the camera to a 360 degree motion so it’s able to patrol the area. Not only that you are able to take pictures and record the video the camera is picking up, you can also speak through the device which is good if you want to speak to someone who’s in a different room for example.There are many different uses you can use this camera for it doesn’t have to be for security. It can be used as a baby monitor for example. As you would not only be able to hear the baby but also see it, using the speaking feature you’d be able to comfort the baby for example.Would I recommend this product? Yes I would it’s great value for money and does the job

I was looking for a security camera for a while something that is a little less intrusive. I chose this because of its unique design and 1080p resolution. I must say that I'm really pleased with this camera. It was easy to setup I can view easily from remote places using their cloud service and keep an eye on the house. The picture quality is good and the functionality great.Only complain I have is about the app, which crashes sometimes. thats why 4*. I hope they will fix it soon.

We ahve had this in our new office for a while now as a cost effective alternative to full on CCTV.It works great, can view the office from anywhere on my phone, talk back and forth with people in the office, though there is a little lag. The night vision works really well and being able to rotate the camera from my phone is awesome. would recommend
