Living in the uk with bitter winters and extortionate electricity bills is not ideal for growing oranges, lemons and limes, yet thats what i am doing in my little hot house.until this year i used parafin heaters then parafin prices went silly. I bought this low wattage heater as replacement. its low power means that over the last two months it has hardly effected my leccy bills. Free standing or wall mounted, it stands in the center of the hot house, raised off the floor some 2" on its feet, the heating panels measuring 18" square do get hotish, the thermo stat is best set in a comfortably warm room, simply plug in, switch on and rotate the therm knob from lowes to high until a click is felt or heard, This means its set to the rooms temp, turn up just a little more. switch off then place in desired room making sure nothing overhangs or if flamable is within 2 feet of the unit. switch on and withi a minute you should feel heat if the room is cooler then set on thermo. as temp reaches that chosen the unit will turn off til temp drops.. I have the unit in my hot house on 24/7 and the temp is constantly around 18oC. SO MUCH MORE CONTROLABLE AND EFFICIENT THAN PARAFIN HEATERS AND NO SMELL. obviously in a house the heater should never be left on unattended for any but short periods and never with unattended young chidren. great buy, efficient and worth its price But not really suitable for heating large or open plan rooms or bathrooms (without fixing to a wall and rewiring by a proffesional electrician).

This is nice compact panel heater. Unfortunately the finish on the unit I received was not suitable as it had sharp edges. Returned for refund.

Very pleased with the output from this heater , only use it on medium but it has been excellent warming up our stairs . Would definitely recommend

Just had an electrician wire it up in my bathroom. It pushes out so much heat for 400w. Replaced an ugly noisy fan heater. Just bear in mind it is for very small spaces, my bathroom is very small. 🙂
