Quite good
I paid five times the price of this caliper to purchase a similar caliper which is made in Japan. Admittedly, the Japanese caliper looks nicer and more refined, and I am happy with that purchase, but this caliper is no slouch either. Again, for one fifth the price of the Japanese instrument, this caliper is quite satisfactory, and as far as I can tell, as accurate as the other more expensive tool. It may be that I just got lucky and got one which is as good as it is supposed to be, and the price differential may also be due to the fact this caliper is not supposed to be as high quality as the other one. But from what I can see and based on my experience with it, this thing works as well and as accurately as you would expect of such a tool. It is true that it is not as highly polished and nice looking as the other more expensive caliper, but very frankly, from a solely utilitarian perspective, it is every bit as good as its more expensive cousin. Plus, this caliper came with a case which the other one sadly lacked. Honestly, I am happy with both of these calipers, but my pocketbook is happier with this one!

The fake roller bit is iffy but overall a useful tool
I got this thing because I hated dealing with the battery always dying in my digital caliper. It's cheap, it seems pretty accurate, and it works mostly the way you expect. The big thing, as others have mentioned, is the thing that's normally a roller that allows more precise movement of the caliper is actually just a solid nub that I guess you can use to help grip the tool...Overall it's cheaply made and I wouldn't trust it with anything super important, but it's also really cheaply priced and it gets the job done that I need it for.

Best hand caliper for a home shop.
Scribes nice and true, doesnt need batteries, and is a great value. Wish I would have bought one sooner.

Yup
First the bad: if you’re used to that pleasant knurled wheel for fine adjustments, you’ve been tricked and that’s just a solid knob.Other than that, all the right surfaces are machined well. Exercise some care and you’ll get better than .001” measurements for less than twenty bucks.Don’t be a ding-dong and you’ll be happy with your purchase.

Hard to read and not high accuracy.
The bottom line on this is that if you NEED accurate measurements, spend the money for something excellent. In my case, I work mostly in wood so I knew that no matter how inaccurate, it would be good enough for my needs. Particulars:1) My eyes are getting old :( The markings are too small for me to read easily. I will have to use a magnifier to get a half decent reading.2) The markings seem a bit course and ill defined. Probably this is not a problem as the accuracy is not high to start with.3) Initially the zero points did not line up well. Things got better when I wiped off the measuring faces. Still not fantastic, but much better. For the $20, I'm happy. I'll probably get a dial caliper that will eliminate some of the problems in reading.Oh, and my case was also broken. It seems as if these folks cannot put together a good plastic case. LOL ;-)

Make sure the scale is what you want
Carefully made vernier caliper. Works well. The markings are probably laser etched and don't show up as clearly as the ones on my 40 year old version. The scale is metric (great) and decimal inch (helpful) but there are occasions when fractional inch scale is also helpful. Be sure to choose a model with scales you need.

Great value
I bought this for woodworking since I didn't want ti to subject my digital calipers to the dust. I was surprised by the quality and accuracy. Highly recommend

Value For Money Budget Caliper and Feeler Gauge
Good quality caliper that appears accurate when measured to the provided feeler gauge and within the specified accuracy when used carefully. The pictured thumb wheel does not function but the caliper slides easily enough when oiled to perform without. Comes in a plastic box which unfortunately had its hinges damaged, possibly during shipping. The Feeler Gauge is metric/imperial (mm/inches) and appears of decent quality although some measurement inscriptions are a bit faint.
