You need other expansions to use!
I didn’t do any research and just bought this assuming it would be similar to prelude 1 pack - which doesn’t require any expansions. Prelude 2, however, has a few cards you could use with the base game but most of them work specifically with Venus, Colonies, and Turmoil. Nothing wrong with it, just important to know - it’s not worth it if you don’t have at least one of those expansions.

Really more setup for the expansions
Most of the cards in here are really more setup for the many expansions, so if you only play the base game plus Prelude you will only get about 1/4 of the value out of this expansion. Still a solid product, especially if you play the expansions.

Adds a little more variety to game start. You will need Prelude 1, Terraforming Mars base game.
Additional cards for all previous expansions, so how many of those you already use will ultimately decide on the factor on how you value this box. You definitely need prelude 1 to use this as intended, and I would say minimum of 1 expansion like Venus Next. Otherwise you may feel not enough use.
