The unit appears to be well made and heavy duty. Ample adjustment controls allow slow closing and latching I like the door hold open feature and it is adjustable BUT you need a 1 1/2" open end wrench to make that adjustment. My adjustable wrench isn't narrow enough to get in there. Home depot had an open end combo wrench for $36 (Husky brand) which worked well but I will probably never need to use it again. After about a hundred closings a squeak developed in the hold open pivot. some silicone spray resolved the noise without defeating the hold open. To quiet the door latch I installed a Door Silencer Strike Plate and Energy Absorbing Compound Bumpers (in the door frame) which made a remarkable improvement.

Great closure for commercial doors. It is truly a heavy duty closure.

It has a lot of adjust ability, but even on it's loosest setting the door is a bit harder to open. I used this on a light metal shed door, so it might work better on heavier doors.

I got this for my mother who is in a wheelchair and has a hard time shutting the door behind her--it is a life saver! You can set it to different 'speeds' and tensions, to either close the door very slow, or very fast. Pro: Easy to set up, but best to have 2 people. Can be set to different tension levels Wonderful for households with people who have mobility issues and have a hard time shutting the door behind them. Can be set to ensure it won't crush fingers as it closes Added security, the door often feels locked after this is used. I'm not saying it'll fool a burglar, but it fooled me a few times. Con: Can make opening the door a bit harder as the door feels 'heavy' once this is installed, but it just takes a short time to get used to it. If this is for an individual who isn't terribly strong, you may want to fiddle with the settings until you find what works best for them

Installation was a breeze once I realized I could just follow the template for the way I wanted to install it. The instructions felt a bit overwhelming and there wasn't a chart showing what screws went where which was a bit frustrating but easy enough to figure out after getting started. After some adjustments with the the sweep the door closes much better than it did with my old unit and I couldn't be happier.

We needed a heavy-duty door closer for one of our commercial rentals. Ordering this particular one was hassle-free and we received it in a timely manner. It worked perfectly!

This will not work with RV. Company will not answer phone or return call. Customer service on this item is horrible. It took longer than 30 days to get appointment to get installed and when I tried to return, Amazon said call company.
