Useful for school pupils to get the outline of plays in accessible form.

Originally just purchased the one book - A Midsummer Nights Dream along with the real version before taking my daughter to see the play in Stratford. It gave her a brilliant insight into the story beforehand and she then read the real version after seeing the play, which was handy as they then studied it at school. She is slightly older than the recommended reading age at 12, but is a reluctant reader so I thought it would be a good way to get her interested. She then asked for the set and read one each evening and has now chosen her favourites to read the original versions, so if you have a reluctant reader, I would definitely recommend these books

A great introduction to Shakespeare and I am 66. Anyone of any age can read them. Liked the list of main characters at the front and the illustrations. I would hugely recommend the book set. I rarely write a review, so had to be great.

Contained in this box set are 16 of Shakespeares stories - What a clever and inventive way to introduce the works of William Shakespeare to young children. The books were easy to understand, introduced the characters and story in simple terms making them absorbing and reaching for the next book. Also thanks to Amazon the books were reasonably priced and received when promised. I will be more than happy to review any other products connected with Amazon - Well done

Excellent adapted stories。

I wish these books had been available when I was a child. They are a brilliant introduction into the works of William Shakespeare and my daughter who is nine years old absolutely loves them. They are wonderfully illustrated and the famous Shakespeare stories are abridged into an easily digestible way. For example King Lear is brilliantly explained and made fun so that any child who wants to know more about Shakespeare's works can read them and get the gist. Highly recommended.

I am really enjoying the books, I can enjoy the plays in a child’s version, which I can understand 😀

So this was supposed to be for the kids, but the adults in the house have been reading these as well as they are great summaries to brush up on the Shakespeare stories and thus general culture. Cool Roald Dhal-esque illustrations as well. The whole family has had so much fun with these, I wish there were more classics in this series!

Bought for my son, but honestly the way these stories are retold are not interesting or engaging for his age (10) . The vocabulary is difficult and doesn't flow. Disappointing
