I rarely ever write reviews, but this sleep mask is so awesome I felt compelled to express my gratitude. First off, I’m extremely picky about quality and products doing what they claim. Secondly, my head is on the smaller side so finding a mask that doesn’t fall off can be tricky. I looked at so many sleep masks and read tons of reviews before this one ended up in my cart. I work 12 hr night shift, so blocking out light for sleep (even with black out shades) is of the utmost importance. I generally have a tough time with things in my face or head and can’t even sleep with my hair down due to being a light sleeper, so finding a mask that isn’t irritating was also important. This mask blocks out 100% of light (even with all the lights on) it lifts completely off your eyes, so you can open your eyes and blink with the mask on. I wear false eyelashes so finding an eye mask that worked with lashes was also important to me. This mask fits my head without falling off and is completely adjustable. It can be made very small, medium, or even large. It is great quality all around. You can tell as soon as you open up the nice box and feel it. This mask is NOT some cheap junky piece of material with velcro. It is high quality, completely adjustable, and does not contain any velcro (many do and don’t last). This mask is not irritating to wear and the fact I can completely open and close my eyes without them even grazing the material is awesome. The price point for this product is an amazing deal in my opinion. I will be buying more for gifts to my fellow night shifter friends and a back up for myself in case I travel and lose it. If you wear a sleep mask and are in the market for a new one you can’t lose getting this one. Don’t even bother looking at the others. I first looked into this sleep mask because it looked unique in that there was more fabric coverage down around the nose (like a true blindfold), and I thought that would be great for blocking out a lot of light. But just a disclaimer, the mask shown in the pictures (as of today, 3/9/23) is the ORIGINAL model. The newer model (which is what I received) is more contoured around the nose, without that additional fabric flap. After reading through some other recent reviews, I saw that if I were to reach out to the company directly, there was a good chance that they might send me one of the original models if they still had it in stock. Spoiler alert, they DID send me the original model! So 5 stars for customer service for Alaska Bear, hooray for a company that actually cares! (I cannot say the same for another sleep mask company, Bucky, as the mask I recently bought from them literally started falling apart a few months after I began using it, and I tried reaching out to them multiple times with no response). So, my overall review after comparing both models... in an unforseen plot twist, the newer contoured model actually blocks MORE light than the original. With the original model, the extra fabric flap seems to hold the mask further from your face, which allows more light in. Maybe if there was more fabric it would just pool around your nose a bit more, but it's taut enough that your nose holds the mask away from your face just enough to let additional light in at the bottom. So for anyone who may be disappointed that the mask they received looks different than the one pictured, don't be! The newer model is actually an improvement, in my opinion. My overall review of this mask (the newer model) is that it really seems like a high quality product. The fabric is super soft and overall it is very comfortable. There is no Velcro to tangle in your hair, and the adjustment clasps are slim enough that I literally can't even feel them when I'm lying on my side OR my back. Also, the seams are SEWN, rather than glued or heat sealed, so it likely won't start falling apart the way several of the other cheaper masks seem to do these days (just click on review photos for other masks you are considering, that should tell you if it's an issue or not). And I think it fits more comfortably and blocks more light then any other mask I've tried in the past. So I'm likely a convert for life now, I genuinely love it this mask!!!

A first sight, I thought I had spent too much money on this sleep mask. It was much smaller than I expected. But having used it for several nights/days - I now think it is well worth what I paid for it. The mask is very soft, and very comfortable to wear. I've only had one issue with it. The head strap is adjustable, and the buckle for adjusting is made of hard plastic and one night I woke up with that buckle pressing into the back of my head. I attribute that to having thin hair. That happened only once. The mask works well for blocking out the light. Just recently I slept in one weekend and I usually wake up as soon as the sun starts shining - but having wore this mask, I slept well past sunrise. I don't know if this mask is better than any of the others, but I'm more than happy with this one.

Nice silk sleep mask. Lightweight, smooth, and soft. Totally covered light. The adjustable strap makes sizing easily. Had a nice sleep on flight.

La lumière ne passe pas ! Il suffit de bien placer le haut du nez, pile sur le creux du haut de notre nez, sans avoir peur que le masque couvre un peu le front (je le précise car on peut avoir tendance à vouloir le baisser plûtôt que de penser à le monter). Super matière. On ne le sent pas; ultra confortable! J'ai les cils très longs et pourtant ça ne les écrasent pas. En plus il est magnifique et il vient avec un petit sac transparent. Juste parfait❣️

Die beste Maske die ich jemals hatte! Sehr weich, angenehm, drückt nicht, blockiert der Licht. Und was mir sehr wichtig ist- ist nicht zu warm im Sommer zu nutzen! Wunderbar.

Little bit chunky and let's light in when I lay on my side. Was prepared to pay for a premium product but this isn't much better than my cheaper mask it was replacing. Just ok.
