Seriously though, they are far more powerful than sage when clearing energy from a space, and for many people, the smell is less offensive. (It smells a little like cinnamon to me.) If you are used to buring sage, just be aware that these do not smoke nearly the same amount, but burn more as an incense stick would, rather than a piece of wood. However, they are a good quality and burn well. As a psychic medium who clears the space between readings, I use these ALL the time now instead of sage. Enjoy! Review: This "Holy Wood" smells heavenly!!! - I burn Palo Santo in my home mainly for it's gorgeous scent, but it is said to have been used for centuries as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, and also to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune. I believe my home is extra peaceful and always delicious smelling because of it :) 25 pieces will probably last me a few months, but I like to have around more than I need so I can gift them to friends. Everyone I share it with falls in love! ***Note - Unlike conventional incense which burns completely after lighting, Palo Santo may be re-lit many times. When lighting, allow the wood to burn to less than a minute, then blow the flame out.

Holy wood Incense
This incense is unusual and fine and I love that it is harvested in a sustainable way. I shave it off with a knife and when small enough I use a manual pencil sharpener to get shavings. I put the shavings on a charcoal block to smolder and MAN does it smell wonderful! People ask me all the time what it is and how beautiful it is to smell. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys burning incense.

Pretty Good
I was expecting the sticks to be thicker that they actually are. I felt like they are a big puny in size but I suppose that's in relation to the palo santo that I've been buying at a local store. Granted they were $3 a piece, though. So I suppose this is still a fair amount cheaper than buying them down the street. It would be nice though if there was an option to buy sticks that were a bit hardier in nature. Many two or three times the thickness and another inch longer.

all I know is it smells good and I like it
I am not familiar enough with Palo Santo to tell you whether or not this is "legitimate", all I know is it smells good and I like it. It doesn't stay lit though, which for my purposes is fine as I would just have to put it out myself. Some of the sticks smell like they have more of the "good stuff" (resins) and some smell like they have less. The latter are the ones that tend to produce a more sharp "burning" odor, which to me does not really seem to be unpleasant as some reviewers describe. I would say they have varied in intensity +/-%20 throughout the batch.

Would recommend
Scent is less than sticks I previously bought. I am not sure if they were older or if the sticks I bought before had oils Other than that, they are great. Smell good when burned and fast shipping

best palo santo on amazon
i dont buy this wood often, as it is an endangered tree, but once a year ill need to restock and find someplace to buy it again, so this is really the best deal ive ever found. To those of you who feel they do not smoke/stay lit, it IS a piece of wood, not an insence stick. you must light the tip until burning on its own, then hold it upright for 15 whole seconds burning like a mini torch, then blow out... it will smoke long enough. and then you'll have to repeat this process again to keep it going once the smoke stops. Keep in an airtight mason jar or something like that, and the scent will stay in the wood nicely for a long time. if you pop a silica packet in there when you store them, all the better because the drier they are, the easier you'll get them to smoke.

Great scent, sticks very thin compared to other sellers
These are definitely palo Santo and the scent is amongst the best I've experienced from sellers on Amazon. One star was lost because the sticks were also thinner than any I've received from sellers on Amazon, and noticeably thinner than those pictured. The value for money is still there though; the scent from these thinner sticks is better than what's given off by most others' thicker sticks.

Lovely scent, good value
I see a lot of people having trouble keeping the stick burning, this is easily remedied by lighting and using a charcoal puck (like Three Kings) and laying the stick on top. It will then smoke for quite some time, the stick only needing to be rotated and moved occasionally. I have also seen some doubt about this being true palo santo, but I have bought this type of incense for some time now and these sticks appear to be genuine.

Palo Santo sticks
I recently purchased a 25 pack of the Palo Santro sticks and everything was exactly as advertised. I don’t find they burn any faster, slower, better, or worse than any other Palo Santro sticks. They’re just as good as any; only difference is I was able to save about 5 or 10 dollars purchasing here as opposed to a store/shop. I received them within 11 days of purchase so shipping was no issue in my opinion. I’d recommend and I’ll probably order again myself eventually
