I use my bike to ride around the city I live in so it gets fairly heavy use including in rain. This is my second set of wheel lights (bought one for each wheel). My first set was a different brand with similar design but they were only one color, required 3 AAA batteries, and didn't have any plastic wire protector. This set lasted less than 2 years before complete failure. This set basically solves all the problems with the cheaper first set. The improvements of cheaper one are: The wire is protected. The rechargeable USB interface is easier to use and lighter in weight. The ability to change colors is really nice. It seems definitely worth the bump up in price. I will update this review with durability and battery life information later but so far these are the best in this category of wire wheel lights.Edit: After one month and only a few uses, one of the batteries has proven defective. I will await response from customer service and update this review to see how their "3 year warranty" is honored.Edit: Customer service is good. I got the battery replaced. The problem is that these batteries just don't hold a charge. For this reason, I'm downgrading my rating from 5 to 3. These lights are perfect except that you even if you don't use the lights, you have to charge the batteries every week because they don't hold charge. This was never an issue when I used similar lights with 3 AAA batteries, like eneloop rechargeables. This really isn't acceptable, the batteries should hold the charge for months if they aren't being used.Edit: Customer service is relentless! They replaced one of the sets of lights and now I'm getting much better longevity. Upping my review to 4 stars.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Essentially 'portable christmas lights' for bike tires. Targeted for kids, but I'm an adult male who loved these lights on my bike. Just slightly tedious securing to wheel--takes about 30 to 40 minutes for 1 wheel, not difficult--just time consuming. But once you secure them with included twist ties and turn them on VERY COOL with multiple colors to choose from!

I was very impressed with the durability and the way the lights were constructed and encased in a clear protective and sturdy plastic molding! The best way to put on the lights is weave the casing in and out of every spoke. I found if you twist around every 2nd spoke it keeps the casing in place better. Then I added a zip tie every 4th spoke. This way there is support every 2 spokes. Then the casing won't slide down to the center of the tire. Now I used 3 sets for my bike! One for each tire and one set for the frame too! Just mount the battery for the frame at the very bottom of the frame. The genius feature of this product is the removable lithium ion battery where you can unscrew the cap and charge it with its USB connector to your computer! Charges up quick and the light will turn from red to green when fully charged. What is so cool about the lights is they are very bright and colorful. And all the features they display is amazing from your choice of one steady color. Or change colors every 4 seconds which I use on both my tires. I then use the 18 function alternate flash and glowing patterns for the frame of the bike! It has an incredible outer space look to the bike all lit up from front to back. The people on the street when I cruise by are blown away and want to know where did I get such an incredible product to turn an ordinary bike into an outer space bike! Now everyone wants to get a set for their bike. So I will tell them go to Amazon and the name of the product to order! They love my bike. It's fully equipped with bell, digital speedometer, headlight, blinking tail light, bike rack and music system for my favorite tunes! All these things were purchased from Amazon too. It's like a car on wheels that turn many heads when on the road. The lights are the talk of the town. Everyone should buy these lights for their bike! It's worth their value in gold.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  These bike tire lights are pretty awesome! They’ll be great for when we go out to the park and stay out until dark. It’ll be nice to let my kid ride around without having to follow right behind because we’ll be able to spot her from afar.Installation is straightforward, though a bit time consuming, because you have to zip tie them to the spokes. The photos and video are showing the lights on a 20” wheel. The lights are long enough with a bit extra. You can have the colors change or you can set to stay on one color. I personally love seeing the colors change.I took off 1 star because I think they should be sold in pairs. We only got one for now but it’ll probably look better with the lights on both wheels.

I purchased 4 of these for my 2 Grand Kids 6 and 9 years old for safety. Installation was easy. After the first one the other 3 went fast. With them on the front and back tire it is something to see. And like the description says you have so many choices, colors solid or changing. And no batteries. My daughter has a big USB charger so no problem. We waited till dark and the 2 took off. What a site to see. 4 wheels turning zig and zag.. Even a blind man could see it coming towards him. so if you want safety for the youngsters and to be COOL this is the one you want to buy. Price is cheap for what you get. They are much better than I thought they would be.

I spent 45 min to install it and tried it once. The lights looked fine. But next time that I tried to use it, it didn't turn on. I recharged the batteries, but still not working.

These lights looked great but sadly after 2 weeks they stopped working. The screw cap for the battery does not have a water tight seal so I suspect water entered the inside (this cannot be helped when riding in the rain of wet conditions) so unfortunately I have returned them.

Gift was well received and is used constantly
