Moth Balls For Rodents

Not strong enough. I thought this was strong like what my neighbors have. I can’t even smell anything. I mean, it’s a waste.

Bought for my musty stone cellar. Smells good, works well to keep the musk odor down, and the spiders hate the scent so that is a plus. The box was ALOT smaller than I expected for the price. I could have walked in to a box store and purchased a much larger box for the price but I paid for the door to door service so cant complain.

Whomever complaints about smell of these moth balls has probably never smelled naphthalene balls... I was pleasantly surprised with these, smell is not bad, people need to understand the smell is what deters pests and these are definitely not bad specially the lavender scent which I bought. Used them to wrap some original Persian and handknotted rugs. I would say though the amount of balls is a bummer, I was expecting the box to be full but it doesn't come with a good amount so if you're planning on using a decent amount you need to pack a few. This format allowed me pack 3 small-mid size rugs so it depends on the size of the job. They shipped quick so the star deduct is more about the value for money not the seller or shipping.

I thought I ordered the regular scent not the lavender but whatever as long as they work. My other issue was the amount. You only get a handful of moth balls. I should have known it was going to be a tiny box for that price. I will not be buying anymore!

I have no issue with the quick shipping of this item. My issue is with the item. The item is labeled ad “lavender scented” mothballs. I couldn’t smell an ounce of lavender. The mothball smell was so overwhelming. I tried using a fifth of the portion and even that small of an amount was eye-watering. Smelled like an old house that hasn’t been aired out in 75 years. I’ve spent the last two weeks trying to air out the smell. It’s that overwhelming. I don’t blame the seller, but don’t buy this item unless you want to smell like your great grandparents house was such an overwhelming smell that you have to cover your nose. That bad.

Six months ago I placed these under the hot tub to deter rodents from making nests or chewing wires and it appears to be working.
