Keeps a charge for a long time. Lights up nicely and I love that you can remove it.

This is great for any LOTR fan. My son got this for Christmas and it was super easy to set up and was glowing within minutes. It can be left on for days and does not get hot. The glow is subtle so it can be left on at night but won’t be a bright distraction to a light sleeper who needs a dark room. It’s not a good nightlight but can provide a nice glowing ambiance. I’d say the glow is a comfort to those not a fan of the dark but it’s the one ring so there is no comfort with it! He loves the addition to his dresser and it’s a great trinket for anyone who is a fan of the books or movies. It’s much bigger than I thought, great value for the money.

I got this lamp for my husband for his birthday because he is a huge LOTR fan and loves to use lamps in his office at work and he absolutely loves the size, color, and quality of the lamp. It is functional and aesthetic and goes great with the vibe of his office. It’s a great value for money!

I recently picked up this Balrog desk lamp to add a bit of character to my gaming setup, and it looks pretty cool on the shelf. The design is recognizable right away, and the way the light glows through the horns and face creates a nice ambient look at night. It is not bright enough to read by, but it makes for a solid mood light or nightlight. The build is made of a softer PVC plastic, which means it feels less fragile than a typical resin collectible if it happens to get knocked over. It is convenient that you can power it with either a USB-C cable or AAA batteries, giving you some flexibility on where you want to place it without worrying about a nearby outlet. On the downside, the sculpt has a slightly cartoony look up close, and some areas feel a bit basic for the price point. If you are looking for a highly detailed, premium collector piece, this might feel a little too much like a toy. Still, as a fun piece of Middle-earth decor for a casual fan or a gaming desk, it does a decent job.

I bought this as a gift for my mum, who is obsessed with Lord of the Rings, she was absolutely over the moon with it. Looks lovely and is very good quality. I feel they have perhaps missed a trick by not making it rechargeable or removable from the base, because of this it must be plugged in at all times for it to work as a lamp. This shouldn’t take away from what is otherwise a really lovely gift for any LoTR fan!
