I bought this MC4 to 8mm adapter cable to connect the solar panel on my trailer to my Jackery 2000 Pro power station, and it works flawlessly. Works with solar

Overall extremely well built. Cable is considerably more thick than expected and the tips both feel very solid. I've tested this with both a Jackery (with the jackery usb-c solar adapter) using the DC8020 tip as well as a Bluetti product using the DC7909 tip and both worked flawlessly. (Images were taken at night so no solar coming in, but in both cases the panel was working great with this cable) If you are looking for just a DC7909 cable and think you might buy a jackery in the future this may be a good pick just to future proof and have both connectors available. My only complaint is that 6 feet (2 meters) is a little short, Tonton should consider releasing a longer version of this cable. This isn't a huge issue because mc4 extensions exist, but a single cable would be more convenient.

Perfect fit for Jackery and maybe others…

I purchased this cable to connect a solar panel to a Jackery 500 solar generator. When I connected everything the Jackery did not indicate that it was charging. I tried a number of things without success. I contacted Tonton customer service. Abby was fantastic. I can say enough good things. We worked through a number of tests, including getting another cable to test with (same results). I finally connected the Tonton cable and Jackery to a 12 volt battery and it worked fine. Long story... Turns out the charge controller on my solar panel isn't compatible in someway with Jackery. The issue was not with the Tonton cable. I would definitely purchase from Tonton again.

Absolute junk. Does not work with the 7909 connector on a Bluetti solar power station. It appears to be nicely made, very robust, but it is useless for my needs. I actually tried two of these. I thought the first one was just defective, and had Amazon replace it. The replacement also doesn't work. It seems that it just doesn't make a good connection with my power station.

If you are shopping for this kind of adapter, than you are likely looking for a way to save money by using non-Jackery brand solar panels with your Jackery Explorer power station. YOU DEFINITELY NEED THIS CABLE. I used these to connect non Jackery solar panels, with use Mc4 connectors, to a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2. They work. The cables have both DC7909 and DC8020 outputs, so it gives you the flexibility if you also have older Jackery power stations that still use DC7909 connections. This cable will open up new possibilities for you, and allow you to connect a much wider selection of more economically priced solar panels. These cables also withstand rain and bad weather.
