Bonds of Hercules (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Dark Romantasy Enemies to Lovers Spicy Romance Novel Inspired by Greek Mythology (Villains of Lore, 2) Review: Creative Mythology Romantasy - This is the most creative/outlandish/atypical reinterpretation of mythological gods into romantasy. Jasmine, what were you on when you came up with us? This book was even better than the first. 4 stars / 3 spice (slow burn but also not) Sarcasm, wit, humor, and banter. FMC has a hilarious inner monologue going on . The familials are entertaining. Plot twist surprises. Action. Alexis’ character ARC is so cool. Creative AF plot. Good world building. MMCs get their unhinged bs together for her. It’s an all around good time. You will be entertained! 4 and not 5 stars bc I got a bit bored like 60% in - which happened in the first book for me too. Also v disappointed we didn’t get any in depth Helen or Charlie action - they were relegated to the benches in this book. not coool. Review: A fun read - I love Jasmine Mas. Her books are always fun, and I always get enthralled and finish in a day or two. Her writing is fun and lighthearted, while the plot is dark and devastating. I loved the plot twist and explanation. I wished that it was more serious sometimes, but overall I liked it. It was a fun read.

Dark romantasy that I can't put down
My daughter read Bonds of Hercules first and would not stop talking about it—so obviously I had to know why. Now I get it. This book is intense in the best way. Dark, spicy, emotionally charged, and very much enemies to lovers done right. The tension is constant, the chemistry is off the charts, and the story doesn’t play it safe. It leans into the darkness without feeling messy or gratuitous. The deluxe edition is beautiful, but what really stands out is how gripping the story is. Once it gets going, it’s hard to put down. This is not a light, cozy read—it’s dramatic, immersive, and addictive. If you like dark romantasy with strong characters, high tension, and unapologetic spice, this one absolutely delivers. No wonder my daughter was hooked.

Epic conclusion!
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Author: @jasminemasbooks POV: Multi 1st Person Gene: Dark Romantasy Triggers: graphic violence, past childhood abuse/trauma, torture, open door, etc. Read Time: 8-10 hours Expected Publishing Date: Out Now ❤️ World Building: Being the second book in the story of Hercules, there isn’t much world building that needed to be done. The new areas of this world were expertly crafted though. It gave the reader a lush and beautiful (even in its darkness) to get lost in. ❤️ The Characters: Man I LOVE these characters! The five main characters from the Blood of Hercules are still some of my favorite characters! I also loved the new character in this book so much that I’m excited for the next book(s) telling her story! ❤️ The Story: Once again, the story was phenomenal! There was the classic Mas action and tension that we all loved from Blood of Hercules. There was a yearning spice that kept you hooked till the end. There is redemption and healing in this book as well. I really can’t say enough good things, but I don’t want to spoil it either! ❤️🔥Overall: If you loved Blood of Hercules, then you are going to love this one! If you haven’t read Blood of Hercules, what are you waiting for? Both are a masterpiece! Raccoon Fact Inspired by Paco: Studies show raccoons can remember solutions to tasks for up to three years, and these incredible animals have the cognitive abilities of a young child! Raccoons use their sharp minds to solve puzzles, open latches, and adapt to changing environments. Bonus fact: Their Latin name is Procyon lotor, meaning before-dog washer. Their common name, raccoon, was derived from the Algonquin people, meaning “he who scratches with his hands.”

Disappointing Follow-through
Overall the plot and concept of the world they were in was intriguing but the difference in the characters between book one and two was too jarring. I felt like from book one the relationships she had with the four male characters were leading towards an RH, which is why i showed up to this party, and I kept believing it in the beginning of book two as the mmc's seemed obsessed with her and were literally fighting over her. At a certain point in book two it switched and its like the author decided not to continue on the path for an RH. I was disappointed to see the fmc be so lackluster in her personality in book two because based on the development of her character in book one I thought she would become more of a bad a**. I was also hoping for more spice in book two but sadly no, it was basically almost 500 pages of edging. I was also disappointed in the lack of development of other characters stories, like the fmc's brother who she obsessively worried and thought about in book one but was basically undeveloped in book two. It feels like the direction of some things in book one, specially other characters development, was halted in book 2 so the author could make the series longer and separate out their stories. Which is annoying and disjointed. I'm only giving this 3 stars because I thought the plot and the world the author built using greek mythology was creative and her writing sytle is humorous. I would have given this a better rating if it was a RH trilogy allowing for more charcter and relationship development. And if the spice was turned up from a 3 to an 8 at least.

I flew through this book. Plot on plot and it is genuinely *so good*. Without a doubt this series is worth the read

This book is so well written! The Greek Mythology is easy to follow once you get into it, it keeps you on your toes and it is honestly hilarious. Alexis’ sarcasm and doom-n-gloom attitude were so fun to read highly recommend if you like your thrillers with a little comedy and some macabre romance.
