I do not know why this is "aquarium" when the tube of roof sealant I have in my caulking gun currently is also labeled 100% silicone. This silicone is black. I have not tried it yet. Saving it for the day I need it, if it comes.

I've used Aqueon silicone in the past, but this one seems to seal even better. You better have Good glasses,the fine print is hard to read. However you should know it says to wait for 3 weeks at least to cure! Come on that's ridiculous. I wouldn't have purchased this and used it had i known. So be aware!!

The best thing about these Stanley caulking tubes is that they come with a screw-on cap that seals tight and keeps the product fresh for several months even after opening and using. This 100% silicone is sticky and adheres to almost anything, including glass as advertised but also to wood, vinyl, PVC, or painted surfaces. It's good for aquariums, but also perfect for sealing weatherproof electrical boxes, outdoor lighting or other wall penetrations. Quality stuff that claims to be UV resistant. Time will tell how well it holds up over time, but so far so good.

Used this to reseal a used 55 gallon aquarium that I was refurbing. Wasn't quite enough for the whole tank (had to use a second tube), but it has held tight without leaks for several weeks, so I can't complain.

Stanley is a known and trusted brand, so you bet this was my first choice for aquarium repair. If you're into buying old aquariums then you may need this stuff to ensure your seals are adequate. I've even used it to reseal some store bought ones too. It is super strong and heavy-duty, so once it's sealed it's SEALED. All in all a great brand, and quality silicone sealant.

This quality glue is easy to use and provides a strong, waterproof bond. I have a 7 foot vertical square aquarium that is very attractive but difficult to maintain. It has deteriorated over time and leaked around the base. I removed the base and resealed it with this Stanley product. It did great job sealing the leakage even with the pressure of the tall tank. I recaulked my tank 3 times and had to empty it 4 times. It does not seal, fill in or make a leak proof seal. Now i will trash this tank because i am not going through it again. Will not buy this brand again.
