If you’re thinking of buying this just purchase it. Where I’m from, we hit triple digits early on in summer & up until fall we’re still getting into triple digits! This is great quality & stays frozen in the car seat for quite a few hours & leaves the seat cold. It fits perfectly in my toddlers car seat. It’s easy to fold/unfold & not heavy at all once it’s frozen. I love that it has the little handle, it’s convenient & comfortable to carry especially if my hands are full. As soon as we get home I place it back in the freezer to just keep it solid. I do suggest leaving it to freeze overnight when you first get it or if you don’t always keep in the freezer just to ensure it’s frozen solid for the following day. My little one always says “freezer pack” before we step out because even my child knows this makes a difference haha I recommend this to everyone who will listen because our summers are ridiculous & this product works.

Works! My car was outside for hours in the hot and humid temps and it kept the carseat cool the whole time. I live in Florida and in the summer time my car no matter what gets over 100 degrees. I turn the AC on before getting in the car but that doesn’t help cool down the seat, this truly helps in cooling off the seat before I place my baby. If you carry a cooler with you, I put mine in after use so I can use again!

Rarely would I tell someone that they need to buy a product, but this thing has been a lifesaver. You're reading this because you too have a toddler or little kid that is one breath away from melting down over the fact their car seat is a little warm. Since buying this, my daughter has not complained a single time about getting into her car seat during the middle of these Phoenix, AZ summers we're going through. Consistent 115+ deg. F temperatures outside, let alone inside the car aren't a problem anymore. As with other users, people mention that this can melt fairly quickly. Most of our trips are less than two hours, and by the time we get back into the car the cold packs are slushy, but have kept the car seat / booster seat cool. An overnight freeze makes them ready for the next day. I don't view that as an issue with the product as it's doing what it's intended to do - stave off the heat. One thing I'm contemplating doing is buying one of those mylar car seat covers to 1) help keep the sun off the seat, which would keep the pack from melting, and 2) would create another insulation barrier around the ice back, keeping the cooling effect focused on the seat instead of being lost inside the cab of the vehicle. Seriously, if you're even on the fence about buying this, just do it. Your kids and sanity will thank you later.
