So far so good. Assembling this storage box was pretty simple, directions were straight forward. One has to remember to tap the bottom into place. Might look like it has nowhere to go but trust me, tapping with a rubber mallet will seat the bottom piece in. Material looks to be sturdy enough as long as no abuse is thrown it’s way. It’s meant to hold items, and a reasonable amount of weight sit on top, not be used as a jungle gym for rowdy kids/pets, so keep that in mind when handling this box. It should last quite a while as long as one respects the box’s capabilities and limits. The hinges close the lid smoothly, but I would recommend closing the lid with two hands, with one hand on each end of the lid so it closes completely. Closing the lid one handed either on one side or in the center will put stress on the entire lid and in the long run this will do more harm than good. A little caution now will save wear and tear on it in the future. Again, respect it’s limits of what it’s made of and you will be fine I bought this box to use as a drop box for packages and will sit it on pavers then bolted from the inside bottom to the pavers to keep anyone from stealing the entire box. The box will sit outside my driveway gate but under trees, so hopefully that will add some small amount of protection from the sun. At the end of the growing season next year I will update it’s condition after having gone through a 9 1/2 month growing season of heat and rain. I bought the black box, which looks nice in person. I wont be using the lock feature so cant attest to that function but it looks like any lock would do, even fat ones, just drill the hole out a little more (no brainer, duh)to accommodate a fatter lock. The pieces were well packed in such a way as to not break or bend. Packing consisted of foam on the corners for extra protection and it done it’s job. Overall, Im satisfied with this item for the 53.99 + tax I paid for it.

A rubber mallet and drill make this assembly happen quick, it snaps together with the mallets help, it's somewhat sturdy, not heavy duty, but doable and does have a spot for a lock if needed, Note: Might blow away if empty

Easy fast assembly, very spacious and sturdy

Pros: Easy to assemble. Sturdy construction with square metal tubing support for the lid. Lid holds itself open and you have to push it down so no worries about pinching fingers. Looks good too. Cons: there’s no latch for the lid besides a couple holes that align for a lock but I the location made it too hard for me to fit a standard sized lock in, I ended up just using a 3/16” x 3/4” bolt. The shock absorbency cylinders were a little tricky to get in but once I figured it out it was easy. I purchased two of these storage containers. The first one took me maybe 20 minutes to assemble the second one I did in probably less than 10 minutes. All in all it’s great and I’m sure it would be easy enough to buy a small lock for it I just didn’t have one on hand. I would highly recommend it.

I love this piece!! It’s not only functional, it looks really good. I bought it to store my cushions, pillows and other small outdoor decor in the off-season - and it’s perfect for that! - but I was thrilled to see that it doubles as a bench seat &/or table for lightweight people or snacks. It’s very sturdy and was a snap (literally!) to put together. I did it myself and it took about 15 minutes. I’m sure with a second set of hands, it’ll go together even quicker. The wicker-look design gives it a polished, high-end look, with a not-so-high-end price, and matches beautifully with the rest of my outdoor furniture.

Good box great size perfect for amazon, ups, etc wish there was a latch is my only issue as the as heavy wind lifts lid. But I put a stone on top and its fine. Amazon loves it saves them a ride down the driveway.

I bought this deck box because it looks nice and sturdy, and the size was just right for my deck area. I looked at the product video and I liked that this deck box has hydraulic rods and extra stabilizer bars to make the lid open and close very smoothly. However, I was quickly disappointed with this item when I received it because it was missing the extra stabilizer bars that is mentioned in the product video. The assembly was relatively easy without any tool but the body frames are very flimsy and not very stable. After assembling the deck box, one of the hydraulic rods was already malfunctioning so the lid is slanted when opened and flaps up and down on the side. I contacted the customer service and asked them about the stabilizer bars that is mentioned in the product video, which was missing in my box and they eventually got back to me indicating that I need to purchase the stabilizer bars separately... Very misleading product video and unacceptable response. I would not be surprised if the hydraulic rods are not included as well and you might have to purchase them separately. It's a big box item and I didn't want to bother with taking them apart and bringing to UPS for the return and refund so I will be keeping it until I can replace it with better quality deck box but I do not recommend this poor quality deck box, not to mention customer service. IF you look at other deck boxes, look for the ones that have stabilizer bars right under the lid, which makes it more stable and easier to open and close. Huge disappointment with malfunctioning hydraulic rod from the day 1, missing stabilizer bars, and customer service. Don't regret like I do and look for better quality deck box elsewhere! HORRIBLE...
