An excellent midrange 7.1 system
This is a great compact, well priced sound system. I have over a number of years tried to find a balance for the sound that I have used with my TV. I have used stand alone sound bars with sub woofers, a large full sound system set up and higher end smart speakers with sub woofer set up. For me trying to find the balance between what is really needed in terms of the actual power that I am going to use and wanting a setup where the speakers do not dominate the room, whilst wanting good clear sound with a fair degree of bass, a good surround sound and very clear dialogue (this is very important to me). This offers a great balance. The surround speakers are small, the subwoofer compact and the soundbar itself is extremely well sized. Given this the sound it produces is full, with a good rich base, the dialogue is extremely clear, the surround sound works very well and you can increase the effect. You can connect the soundbar through a number of ways though I focused on optical cable (for the surround sound) and bluettoth (for my phoen and other devices) I have been listening to this now for nearly 3 weeks as my main TV sound system. Up until then I have been using a very good recent large soundbar and subwoofer. I was planning to move this and use with my projector in the main bedroom but I have found myself extremely reluctant as I have really enjoyed using this as the main system. The set up is really straight forward with power only needed for the soundbar and the back speakers. Power is supplied to the other speakers from those connections and front to back sound connection is wireless. The remote offers a deep range of functions and the APP itself is useful though much more limited in what it can do. It also has simple presets for gaming, watching films, sports, listening to music, a focus on the voice and a night mode. There are lots of other options as well. For the price this is an excellent setup that offers more than enough sound for the average lounge without the speakers dominating the room. I like it a lot.

Good quality unit for the price
This is at the more afforddable end of TV surround sound bar units and being into my hifi I was quite sceptical about the quality. I was also dreading running the cables to the rear speakers. So this unit pleasantly surprised me. I decided to set it up first without hiding the wires just to see if it was worth setting up properly. It was. I have quite a large LG TV and I had never really thought the sound was poor as such, even though it is not the most hifi sound and lacks bass. This Ultimea unit is a definite improvement and is clearer, has plenty of bass and is also louder and of course has surround sound. It was also much easier to set up than I thought. The front unit connects directly to the mains via a transofrmer block and also to the front speakers and the sub woofer. I had an optical port on my TV so I hooked that up to the unit. All using the cables provided. The rear speakers connect wirelessly and you connect one of them to a power supply and the other rear speaker to that speaker. There is then a pairing process to pair the rear speakers to the main unit. This was the hardest step for me and only, I discovered, because as usual I had failed to read the instructions carefully enough. They are actually easy to pair if you read the instructions:). The Ultimea remote control has a vast range of options allowing you to adjust pretty much everything you can think of. The remote is clear and intuitive. You need 2xAAA batteries that are not supplied. There are some touch controls on the sound bar itself. You can pair any other bluetooth device to the soundbar so you can just listen to music, etc via that if you wish. The sound is not the highest quality hifi however it is good and I think very good at this price point. I would say it is around twice as good as the TVs speakers. That said, my TV has the option to select an optical output as well as the TVs own speakers and this arrangement gives an even greater volume and clarity. The surround sound is really good and certainly is far more cinematic compared to just the TV speakers. On reflection, all those film directors and sound editors over the years have been wasting their time with me up to this point. You can get much more expensive sound bars than this. I assume those are better. That said, if you just want to vastly improve the sound from your TV without spending a fortune then these are genuinely a good option. They look good and seem well made. Small additional point however I particularly like the rubber feet that all the units have built in to ensure a vibration free experience.

a decent budget multi speaker setup with some limitations
I was impressed by the quality of this product right away, it's well packaged and everything looks well made and is solidly built. the system consists of two halves the front half and the rear half. the front central speaker connects to both the front left and front right speakers as well as the subwoofer and is all powered by one plug adaptor. the rear half is the two rear speakers which are connected to each other and to another power adaptor and communicate with the front half wirelessly. this is useful as you don't need to run as many cables around the room but does necessitate power sockets are available both front and back. once setup the system runs a virtual surround setup rather than real surround sound. for my basic needs this is perfectly fine but is worth noting if you are looking for a fully fledged system. connecting the system to audio sources is very easy and the sound produced was an improvement on the stock speakers in my tv and my desktop pc speakers. the remote and app give you a lot of control over the sound so you can tailor it to get the ideal setup for your room. for the price i think it's a pretty capable system that will be just fine for a lot of peoples needs. if you are looking for the full cinematic surround experience though you may want to look elsewhere.

Decent value surround sound setup
This is a decent value surround setup. Doesn't take very long to set up although the instructions weren't the clearest. You start by connecting the soundbar to power, the subwoofer and the two front speakers. You then connect it to your TV using optical cable (included), aux (not incluxed) or bluetooth. Finally connect the two rear speakers to each other and power those separately. The rear speakers connected instantly to the soundbar for me. The remote (2xAAA batteries not included) has a good range of options on it. You can adjust the bass, mids and treble as well as set different audio functions such as voice boost. A great option for me was the ability to increase or decrease the surround effect. My sofa is near the back wall and by default it sounded like TV voices were actually coming from behind me because I was so close to the rear speakers. By reducing the surround setting I was able to "push" those voices further to the front to compensate for the fact I wasn't sitting equally between all speakers. I haven't tried the app yet as the remote has been fine for my needs. Overall this is a decent value surround setup. It sounds far better than my built-in TV speakers did and the surround is pretty good. It's adjustable, actually looks really clean and in my opinion would be fine for most people.

Well worth a look...
A decent setup, sounds great once you've got it all set up correctly. Although the component parts are perhaps smaller than some others out there, each one has some reassuring weight to it. Nothing feels 'cheap', and it really is a nice bit of kit quality wise. There's plenty of adjustment available, both through the app and the excellent mid-sized remote that comes with it. There are touch-controls on the top of the main bar for the basic operations of power on/off, input select, Bluetooth, and volume up/down. An otherwise invisible white LED display lights up behind the front grill when any selection or change is made, and extinguishes after a while (5S, 30S, 60S, or never...user selectable). You will have to play around with the EQ settings of course, which could also involve any EQ adjustments from the source itself. I'm 'nearly' there with it after a couple of days tweaking, but even if I left it as-is, the sound quality is streets ahead than before. There are bigger/more powerful sets available, but it does beg the question.... is it really necessary?. In some settings maybe, but unless you want to rattle the windows and/or annoy the neighbours, there's plenty of oomph here to do the job without going OTT. Instead of being big-but-cheap, think of this Ultimea as being compact-but-quality. Good stuff, on a quality/value-for-money basis.... 5-Stars.

Not as good as I had hoped
I already own a ULTIMEA single speaker sound bar for the bedroom, so thought that this would be a good idea for our fairly small lounge, however the sound quality from this seems very lacking, after taking about 45 minutes to actually getting it to recognise the TV, either using optical or BlueTooth neither would work, I rewired it all, twice. Then reset it, still nothing, so removed all power leads and then plugged it back in, and it came to life. This unfortunately happens every time I turn it off. I have to unplug it replug the system back in to get it working. The sound quality isn't as good as the previously owned ULTIMEA sound bar, I realise this is not a flagship sysetem, but is one of their newer models so had expected maybe a bit more from it it both usability and sound. As it's a budget system I wasn't expecting Dolby Atmos, but did hope it was going to be better than my single speaker sound bar in the lounge. Having wanted surround sound for ages, I was left wanting more. The lounge is only 2.3m across and the speakers were placed in optimum position according to the ULTIMEA diagram. Such a shame. I think this would certainly be adequate for perhaps a different shaped room? or maybe I just got one that didn't work properly. if this worked better I would certainly recommend it, Its very good value for a 7.1 system, but cannot comment on how well it really works, as when we did have it working the sound was similar to an old tube TV turned up super loud. Unless you had it over lvl 46 the surround wasn't very good. Sorry

Sounds brilliant and easy to set up
This Aura A40 system playing via Bluetooth from a Echo device, is an awesome speaker system. It is currently temporarily set up on the backs of two facing sofas with the subwoofer on the floor and the sound quality is excellent and as the listener I feel very much central to it all. The physical set up of the units went very quickly and very easily with clearly labeled and colour coded cables and speakers. The remote control is very straightforward to use and the app adds a more capable and intuitive user interface. After this sound test I am certainly ready for a more permanent fitting of this system with the wall fixtures supplied in the box. An optical cable is also provided to easily plug the unit into the TV optical output. In addition there are USB and Aux ports on the back of the main unit for further connectivity possibilities. This is a brilliant system. Delighted.

Basso costo e grande effetto Surround 7.1, brava Ultimea!!!!

Small but mighty! A quality home theatre without breaking the bank!
This home theatre system is small and mighty, I am so pleased with the quality of the build and the ease of use and it does have an app that you can use to control and customize the equalizer to your liking. It easily pairs with my TV remote so i can control it without the hassle of too many remotes. It is very loud enough for playing movies and also i love how i can connect my phone via bluetooth and use it for music and podcasts. The buttons and controls are easily accessible. I have it connected using bluetooth and find it really reliable in connectivity and with no audio latency at all. I LOVE these and have been using it for a while now, I definitely recommend it.
