Excellent!
Much larger than I expected. They were in great health, well packaged, and got right to work cleaning our pond.

Live and active
I am amazed at the size and health of the these Trapdoor snails. They arrived very quickly, were packed in water in an insulated box with a cold pack. I was impressed because we had ordered similar snails from another source, (The Pond Guy) and were very disappointed, that's another story. Toledo provided proper instructions for acclimating the snails. They are now happily munching away cleaning our pond. We will purchase more in the near future. Well worth the money as a natural way to keep the algae under control.

Fast snails???
We converted our pool to a natural pond and wanted to add more diversity to it. Our pond is going into its second year and it has progressed nicely. Our fish are thriving and our pond plants are becoming well established. Frogs and other pond life things have moved in, and so far algae has stayed at bay, which is a big concern.I thought that adding some snails to help keep the pond clean would be a good idea. But, I didn't want a snail that would over populate the pond, leading to a mess that I'd just have to try to clean up later. Trap door snails are supposed to reproduce slower than most snails and I just introduced 10. I hope to maintain a healthy population.Toledo Fish sent my snails quickly and they all arrived looking good. Followed the included directions and the transition went well for them. I was able see a couple of them for a few days, but they have since moved on to deeper waters.Overall, I am happy with my purchase...

Nice snails!
I ordered 5 snails and received 9. Arrived quickly. Packing was excellent. Snails are bigger than I expected. Within 15 minutes all 9 were happily scooting around the quarantine tank, munching algae. Yes, they do stink...the smell is one I distinctly remember from mucking around in ponds and mud holes looking for "treasures" when I was a kid! I would imagine that some time in a nice quarantine tank will cut down on or eliminate the mud smell.update: after 12 hours in clean water snails have NO SMELL at all. All at work stripping algae from tank.

Be careful
They did not all arrive alive. The smell was horrible when I opened the bag. Less than half survived the first week. Granted, a lot were small but I paid too much money for that many to die.
