All active noise reducing earphones need to have power. The clever thing with this model is that they take their power via the same iPod connection as the sound, so you only need to make sure that the iPod is charged in order for the earphones to work.

I like the amount of freedom the controls give when one is out and about. The buds fit the ears comfortably and give a great sound experience.

This is my first experience with noise cancelling headphones and I expect it won't be the last. I purchased these on the basis that they promised 90% noise cancellation/exclusion and having tried them out extensively, I'd say that the percentage is closer to 30-40%. If you use a white noise programme or have your music turned up to a reasonably loud level, then the percentage goes back up to 80-90% provided you get the volume balance right. Pros No need to iPod adapter, they click right into iPod connector. Volume and skip forward/skip back controls on headphone cords. Possibly the most comfortable ear fit I've experienced with a selection of ear inserts. In general, a very good sound with nice bass response and clear sound. Cons These are powered directly from your iPod/iPhone and as such, they markedly reduce battery life. Given the price point, I would have expected ability to stop music & take phone calls but these do not have this functionality. Again, given the price point, I expected consistent quality throughout all ranges but generally, this is not the case (e.g. treble is okay, bass is quite good). Overall, I'm glad I got them and their shortcomings don't make me want to return them but I think you could probably get the same quality for at least £20 less.

...but. Does need a bit of power to run. I would not pay more than £30 for these as the sound quality is only reasonable +. The bass lacks in the lower range, while the treble is a little tinny. So in quality terms, not the best. But overall a reasonable all round earphone. Provided the earphones are well emplaced, the noise cancelation is certainly the best I've come across.

Affordable, good quality, compact, good quality sound, nice cancelling is amazing, Negative is y 97 cannot use it with gadgets other than ipod and iphone.

Ich bin kein Rezensionenschreiber habe mich aber auf Grund meiner Freude über diese In-Ears kurzfristig dazu entschlossen. Bei mir waren die Kopfhörer ganz normal in einer Plastikverpackung die ich aufgeschnitten habe, Blister rausgezogen und die Hörer entnommen. Direkt an den i-Pod Touch gesteckt und dann kam der absolute Hammerklang aus den Teilen. Sie sitzen fest im Ohr und fallen auch bei heftigstem Kopfschütteln nicht raus. Für das Geld eine absolute Kaufempfehlung. Die Kopfhörer lassen sich so laut stellen dass ihr Euch die Ohren wegblasen lassen könnt, unglaublich - die gebe ich bestimmt nicht mehr her und die Sennheiser, bei denen regelmäßig ein Ohrhörer nach kurzer Zeit ausfällt, wandern sofort in den Müll.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem In Ear Kopfhörer mit gutem Klang und aktiver Geräuschunterdrückung als Begleiter bei sportlichen Aktivitäten, und habe mich aufgrund der überwiedend positiven Bewertungen für dieses Modell entschieden. Leider wurde ich enttäuscht. Positiv ist zu erwähnen: + Passform: Sitzt angenehm und fest im Ohr; Wedchsel-Aufsätze in verschiedenen Größe vorhanden + Klangbild: Wenn man viel Bass mag, dann wird man die Klangeigenschaften mögen Leider sind die Mängel so gravierend, dass ich den Kopfhörer zurückgeschickt habe: - Die einstellbaren Funktionen Active Noice Cancelling "ON" und "OFF" unterscheiden sich aus meiner Sicht nur druch die Farbe der bunten LED Anzeige auf der Steuereinheit. Ich konnte in keiner Geräuschumgebung eine Veränderung der Geräuschunterdrückung feststellen. Diese wird in erster Linie durch die feste Passform und die dadurch erzielte mechanische Abdichtung erreicht. - Die Lautstärker wird elektronisch abgeregelt. Da der Kopfhörer über den Dock Anschluss anzustecken ist, ist damit auch die Lautstärkenregelung am I-Pod ausser Funktion. Man ist auf die elektronisch gesteuerte Lautstärken-Stufen des Kopfhörers angewiesen. Die Lautstärke bei Inbetriebnahme ist als sehr laut einzustufen. Lauter schalten führt zwangsläufig zu Taubheit. Nach unten gibt es nur 5 Stufen, auch die leiseste Stufe ist immer noch zu laut, um Musik z.B. beim Radfahren im Hintergund zu hören. Man wird zugedröhnt. - Wenn man von der leisesten Stufe wieder auf die zweitleiseste hinaufschaltet, verändert sich die Skalierung der Lautstärker, es werden die einzelnen Lautstärkestufen dann immer lauter, bis der Kopfhörer auch auf der zweitleisesten Stufe auf voller Lautstärker läuft. Dies kann man nur durch Ein- und Ausschalten, bzw. durch abstecken resetten. Letztenendes war dieser Fehler für mich dann Anlass, das Gerät zurückzuschicken. Fazit: Klangbild OK, Geräuschunterdrückung wird aber in erster Linie dadurch erreicht, dass der Kopfhörer durch nicht abschaltbares Dröhnen jedes Umgebungsgeräusch übertönt. Für mein Verständnis sollte Noice Cancelling hingegen ermöglichen, dass auch bei lauterer Umgebung Musik in moderater Lautstärker genossen werden kann. Das ist hier nicht der Fall.

neat packaging as always, Thanks Amazon. Product is jus fine. I've been using Klipsch S4. And since the earplug jack stopped working had to go for this option.. Yup for the price i paid its a steal. Only if they hadn't attached a bulky volume & track controller to it. A smaller size would have been great, even without it too. The cables are too long. Not meant for gym purpose. wires brushing ur chest creates unwanted noise.
