I love my Kindle! Update!
I have had my Kindle for over a month, and I am still excited about this Kindle. However, I just saw that it is on sale (Black Friday Deal), and I wanted to cry. It is now $45 less than what I paid (excluding the cost of the charger and case; add another $60 to that $45 (Ouch!)). Then, I had to have a talk with myself, and it went like this: Trinigal, stop being upset! You are fortunate to have purchased a Kindle that works well, and doesn’t have issues (like others who have shared the dissatisfaction with their Kindle). You are still enjoying your reads and always looking forward to your next read. I then chuckled to myself, and said that the title of the next book I select should be: When is the right time to buy a Kindle? My original review is below: This is my first Kindle, so I don’t have any other Kindle to compare it to. I usually read a physical book, books on my Computer, IPad or iPhone. This Kindle makes a difference in my ability to relax while reading a book. It is an awesome device that is portable, light weight, and convenient. Although I like reading on my IPad, it will no longer be my go to device for reading (When you know better, you do better). My house is full of unread books that I bought over the years, and that really bothers me because I just couldn’t find the time to read (being a professor with lots of other academic books to read, I gave those academic books priority over a good novel). Now, I am at the point where I want to read books for relaxation purposes. I chose the Kindle Paperwhite Signature edition as part of my incentive to read a good book. I researched this Kindle for an entire month before investing in it. Let’s get to the workings of the Kindle: This 7 inch Kindle is easy to hold in my hands. The IPad truly strained my hand when I tried to use only one hand when reading. At times, I had to lean the IPad on my thighs for support. Now, there will be no more hand to thighs when reading! The Kindle set up was very easy, and user friendly. I did not experience any problems connecting to the internet. After set up, with bated breath, I waited to see how the pages turned on the Kindle, and if I will find any fault with the action of turning the pages of the book I was reading. I am happy to say there was none; no noticeable long lag time, no problems were experienced with the turning of pages on this Kindle. Then I squinted my eyes, opened my eyes wide, I turned the Kindle upside down, and side to side while turning to the next page of my book; I was trying to see if there will be any trace of the previous page as I turn to the next page ( ghosting; some users experience an imprint of the former page while moving to the next page of their book). Happy to report, I tried hard to find a problem with that but I found none. What about the battery? The battery charged very quickly, and there was no problem during that process. I did charge the battery with the case on the Kindle, (as the picture shows). The Kindle came with an 80% charge and in 30 minutes (or less) it was fully charged (100%). I am hardly ever swayed by reviews: Sometimes reviews work as an incentive, or a deterrent….I always say, try an item out and make your personal decision. This Kindle is a keeper, and I am also going to purchase the new Color Kindle Colorsoft. Conclusion: This Kindle paper white Signature Edition , Gen 12/32 GB, is truly made for reading. It is certainly a handy device for traveling, and reading on the go. It is easy on the eyes, and therefore, easy on the brain. The raspberry color is really nice, and I plan on buying an extra clear case so that I could easily see the vibrant color of the kindle. I am honestly excited to be part of the Kindle family!

Kindle Paperwhite Review - How It Fits in My 3-Kindle Lineup
I've been using Kindles for years and now own the basic Kindle, the Paperwhite, and the Paperwhite Signature Edition. Just uploaded a video where I compare all three side-by-side so you can see the real differences in size, screen, and features. Pros: - Excellent screen with warm front light that’s easy on the eyes for long reading sessions - Waterproof design is a big win if you read by the pool or in the bath - Battery life is outstanding, especially with airplane mode - Comfortable size and weight for one-handed reading - Fast enough page turns and responsive touch screen Cons: - The Signature Edition is noticeably nicer with auto brightness and wireless charging, but costs more - Basic Kindle is lighter and more portable but lacks waterproofing and has a smaller screen Here’s my quick buying guide after owning all three: - Want the most portable and cheapest option and don’t read near water? Go with the base Kindle. - Want a bigger screen plus warm light for night reading? This Paperwhite is the sweet spot for most people. - Want the best experience with auto ambient light adjustment and wireless charging? Step up to the Signature Edition. The Paperwhite strikes a great balance and has become my daily driver. The video shows the physical differences and lighting features in action if you want to see them yourself. Highly recommended — especially if you read a lot at night.

LOVE. Warm light feature is the best. Nice quality
I got this kindle a few months ago and it's awesome. I love it. It looks nice. It's even better than I thought it would be. The battery life is so good. I only charged it once since April and I read on it a lot. I finished an entire book and started a couple more and read through some others, old and new. I love the warm light feature, it's the main reason I got it. The quality is really nice. It's my first e reader so I don't have any others to compare it too except I did buy a kindle basic to have a second because I ended up loving the kindle experience so much. I like that the kindle basic is a little easier to hold if you have small hands or like a very compact device. (Although I can put my kindle paper white in a very small purse I was surprised to find out.) But the paperwhite is nicer quality and the warm light feature is important for reading comfort in my experience. The kindle basic has a very bright light that I never want to be on. Even on the lowest brightness setting. You can still see the text without light and it looks much better to me. I really don't like blue light. You can also add a pop socket to the paperwhite to make it more comfortable to hold especially if you add a case to it. But I find the tiny kindle basic is cozier to hold even with the pop socket added to the paperwhite. Book selection has been perfect so far. Highly recommend kindle. One of the best purchases. I understand why people are entering into kindle eras.

Best Purchase Ever!!
I actually can’t say ENOUGH good things about this! I love reading but didn’t enjoy paying book store pricing, as well as preferred something I could still use in the dark without needing extra lights. I was not expecting the true amount of storage on this either! It’s hard to imagine how much space a single book takes, but I have over 30 books and it’s still not even a dent into my storage! Download speed for books is also insanely fast, like less than a minute for every book i’ve downloaded. The screen has a super fast response, and as someone who uses it for hours and hours everyday, I really only have to charge it maybe once a week max. Its battery life is great! I will say kindle unlimited wasn’t the greatest for me personally, i’d really look into the books available on it before paying for the subscription. However it comes with 3 free months of it so it was great to look at before buying! It’s very light weight and hasn’t caused me any fatigue to my wrists or hands! The color is gorgeous, and it’s such a reliable device! It’s never overheated or had any delays or glitches. Best part is being able to even download books onto it that aren’t on the kindle shop. You can easily look up how to and download external books or fan made books! It’s my favorite purchase ever and has gotten me to read so much in such a short amount of time. I’ve finished almost 20 books in a month! I truly recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading but doesn’t want/need to have to have physical copies for their books!

Feels worth it! (So far)
First off this purchase was definitely an impulse purchase but so far I am very happy with it I do like the black color (even though I do wish there was a few more color options but still very satisfied). Next I do want to speak about the size, fit, design, and feel its an overall small design and at first I was like wow this is much smaller then I thought it was going to be but I instantly realized that it was a great size the screen I can tweak the text size so reading isn’t an issue but it’s small enough to just fit in my pocket and go and I love that about it makes it easier to keep on me and read when I can! Next the design it’s sleek and simple and for a device that you use to read book it feels like it’s a simple solid design! Now the functionality of it I struggle with reading and focusing in general so that the reason I bought this I could have downloaded an app and read the books on my phone or iPad but struggling to read like I do I get distracted easily so I decided to try this out and so far I have been extremely satisfied with it’s for sure worth it if you want to read more but get distracted easily this will help you focus more on the book and the read then the distraction that come with other devices. Lastly the price this one I’m a little torn on I did go for the bigger size which was more and then the surcharge for the version with no ads seemed a bit unnecessary but I did get 3 months of the kindle subscription so that will help me decide over then next few months if I really deem it worth the extra money and I will update later down the road but so far I am satisfied and I have started The Hobbit book I am loving it so far! (Oh yeah also you can hook up Bluetooth headphones and listen to audiobooks as well which I also love that feature as well cause same thing as before I get distracted easily notifications can make me stop my book and then I’m lost this there is no interruptions so that is another great feeling about this device!) One thing I will say is I wish I could simultaneously listen to the audiobook and read along side the text at the same time but it’s okay I still love it!

Decent device
My oasis has died and I purchased this as a replacement. Battery life has been fantastic. I read ALOT, and it seems that this holds battery life for an extended period of time. The standing charging station is a nice plus for when it does need charging as it's easier than fumbling with a cord. The reasons I gave a 4 and not a 5 star review: no auto-rotation and I like the back of the oasis better. I do miss the screen auto-rotation that oasis had, as this device doesn't have that. It was nice to flip the oasis around and change which hand I use to hold the device. I did end up paying extra for a page turner device, which has helped. The back of the oasis was also more comfortable to hold (not sure how to describe it, but it was two different thicknesses allowing it to fit more comfortably in my hand).

Love my paperwhite!!
I bought the Kindle paperwhite because I am an avid reader and I am starting to have age related issues. I love that I can adjust the font size as well as switch to the black background with white lettering which works better for me. I also enjoy reading outside in warm weather so the anti-glare glass allows me to do this. And of course, there are so many available books to purchase without having to leave your house! It is a perfect size to fit in your purse to take along if you find yourself in waiting rooms or parent pick up lines frequently.

The Worthy Successor: Farewell Voyage, Hello Signature Perfection
I give the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (Newest Model) a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars! I’ll admit, I was hesitant to upgrade. I have absolutely loved my Kindle Voyage for years, but lately, it just couldn't keep up—it wasn't holding a charge for more than 16 hours. After debating whether to make the switch, I finally pulled the trigger on the new Signature Edition, and I’m so glad I did. The battery life is the standout feature here—it really holds the charge as stated, letting me read for weeks rather than hours. It is also noticeably 20% faster, making page turns and navigating my library feel instant and smooth. The auto-adjusting light is a luxury I didn't know I needed; it shifts perfectly to my environment. One of my favorite hidden features is the ability to turn pages simply by tapping on the back of the device. It makes one-handed reading so much more ergonomic and effortless! If you’re a longtime Voyage fan holding out, this is the upgrade that finally makes it worth letting go.
