I absolutely love my Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, it’s completely changed my reading habits. I find myself picking it up far more often than I ever did with physical books. Used to read occasionally but now I average a book every couple of weeks. For a busy person that’s pretty good I think and it’s all down to my kindle. It’s lightweight and really comfortable to hold, even for longer reading sessions, which makes a big difference. The screen is easy on the eyes and feels much more like reading a book than I expected. One of the standout features for me is the battery life. It lasts for weeks, sometimes even months, on a single charge, which is incredibly convenient. I rarely feel like I have to think about charging it. There’s also loads of storage, so I can download plenty of books without worrying about running out of space. Only downside is I wish it came in the matcha colour, but it does look really sleek. It’s a way to use and has nifty things like the double tap at the back to turn a page. I am easily pleased! It’s also great to take on my travels. No more deciding which book(s) to take with me. Just chuck the kindle in my bag and go. Overall, it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. If you’re trying to get back into reading or want something more convenient than physical books, I’d highly recommend it.

My very 1st Kindle, and I'm super happy with it. It small enough to take anywhere, bus, car, wherever you want to use it, touch sensitivity is great being able to go forward & back with ease, especially the double-tap on the back to turn a page, it's easy to use, no messing about, connected to my WIFI with ease, and hasn't had any issues, and the readability of it is excellent, you can make the text different sizes if needed.. Can't say much for the reliability, it just works right up until it doesn't I guess, battery life is amazing for my use.

I wanted one of these for ages, and waited patiently for the deal day to order it. I love the colour, I didn't know that the colour would be important but it is. It's lightweight, and feel well made. I love how long the battery lasts, and how easy it is to pop in my bag to read when I'm out. I've struggled to read books for a few years and felt like if I bought this I'd start reading again. Well it's not been a fad, I absolutely love reading on this, being able to change the text size is great but my favourite function is highlighting a word to find it's meaning in the inbuilt dictionary is gold. I'd normally look up a word on my phone and get sidetracked and not return to the book, so being able to look up the definition in the device is great. The way it adapts to the ambient light is really great, and I really enjoy reading in bed at night in the dark and not having to bother with a light.

Love my new kindle. Had my previous one for over ten years and only changed as it was no longer supported. Decided to buy this one for the features and am incredibly happy with my purchase. Super fast and easy to use and set up. Love light it is and love the bigger screen size. Touch screen can be a little slow at first but is fine after a minute. Screen is super bright and clear, and is bright enough I can read at night without a light on. Love that is has dark mode too so it isn't harsh on my eyes. Would highly recommend spending the money for this version

I have dyslexia. My children bought me a Paperwhite kindle in about 2014 for my birthday. It immeasurably improved my enjoyment of reading. Now Amazon will not be supporting my edition so I bought a Kindle Paperwhite Signature without ads from Amazon. Cons: light, good size, quick to buy new books, alters font size easily, it plays for a long time after charge. Holds many hundreds of books. It continues to allow you to plug in to charge or wireless if you prefer but I have not tried this. Negatives: You cannot edit notes you store. You only get the option to delete. Secondly, I have found the lightness automatic variation does not work for me.. I preferred manual selection. So I manually increase the brightness of the screen in daylight through 'settings' or decrease at night through 'settings'. Overall the Kindle Paperwhite Signature experience continues to provide a great improvement over a conventional book for a struggling reader. Christine Makin

Update: So after having this kindle for a week, I just couldn’t get on with it. Something wasn’t right with it. It did still have minor ghosting but the text seemed unclear. It was a strain. I called Amazon who offered replacement because I couldn’t accept refund due to a discount code I used and wouldn’t get back! Replacement came and I was stunned at how much worse it was compared to mine. I have attached photos where you can clearly see the same brightness settings but the replacement has a yellow screen without the warmth on!! 3rd try, phoned amazon again who didn’t really understand what I was talking about but sent me another replacement. This 3rd kindle made everything fall into place. It was white. I hadn’t realised that my original was grey. Text was crisper and ghosting not a thing. It’s pretty much perfect. It disappoints me that Amazon haven’t got this right. They did not push out a consistent product and should have recalled them. I will also warn you that Amazon will send you a replacement but it will be REFURBISHED as this is part of their warranty agreement. This to me is a bit of a joke given that I bought brand new and am keeping a second hand one. I have agreed to this because it’s better than my original and I know it can’t be older than October but I think it’s shoddy. It really is pot luck on the quality of what kindle you receive. I have left the 5 stars because I love my new (refurbished) kindle. Original review:Received this for Xmas (which I arranged)! Got it for a great price, Black Friday PLUS traded in my old paper white 5th gen so got an extra 20% off. I went for the SE version for the auto light adjust. I really wanted the colorsoft but have been closely monitoring the reviews and I just wasn’t prepared to risk it. I had also been closely monitoring the reviews of this kindle too. The main faults being a yellow hue, dead pixels or ghosting. I will say that researching is good but in my case I over did it and so… When I opened this on Xmas morning the very first thing I did was QC myself, probably better than what Amazon have been doing! I was looking for the faults and to my despair it had bad ghosting. I was so disappointed. I could clearly see the book covers in the background of the next page. I did call Amazon and their robot told me they wouldn’t replace as they’re out of stock but I had time to request for exchange so I left it. There was a software update but I had to do this manually which is very easy to do, as it wasn’t showing on my kindle yet. I had also researched ghosting and apparently this is normal for any eink display (within reason) I just didn’t remember my old one doing this. For whatever reason my kindle is FINE now. The ghosting seems to have settled. This might be because it’s been sitting in its box a long time and now it’s being used it’s ok. It could have something to do with the update but I don’t think so. Yes, there is very minor ghosting now but I really have to look for it otherwise I wouldn’t notice. I wish I had read a review which said “it might be ok after a few hours use” which is why I wanted to leave this here! Bad form from Amazon for all the kindle issues, I assume they wanted it pushed out for Black Friday before Xmas but that’s just not good enough for these expensive devices. Things I love on this kindle are the warm light. Makes such a difference if you’ve never had it. The auto adjust. Love that I can go to bed and it just sorts itself out in the darkness. Dark mode is cool. The colour (jade) beautiful. Page turn animations are fancy and it is super speedy. I can actually search for a book in the store without waiting a whole minute for each letter to catch up! My only con is their current reputation! Hope this helps some people because I really love mine now. I have included some photos of the ghosting I was seeing but this has resolved!

Okay I have to tip my hat off, my wife loves this device and even I'm now considering one for myself. Bought during prime day as a gift and way to stop my wife doom scrolling in bed at night. The screen is crystal clear and the overall feature set like the back light and page transitions are punchy and smooth without being over powering. Only irritation is the free trial of kindle unlimited constantly dials home so my network monitor keeps pinging me alerts. However the simplicity of this is a real benefit and saves loads of space we'd give up with physical books in suitcases when travelling. One advisory is get a screen cover because it will show up and finger print marks or scuffs.

Small but perfect for reading, with a good battery autonomy

Mein erster Kindle war tatsächlich von 2012 (!!) und hat über viele Jahre zuverlässig funktioniert. Damit kann ich mehr als zufrieden sein und es war auch verständlich, dass der Hardwaresupport für diese alte Gerätegeneration nunmehr eingestellt wurde/wird und ein neuer Kindle fällig wurde. Aufgrund meiner bisherigen Zufriedenheit war klar, dass es wieder ein Kindle werden wird. Den Paperwhite kannte ich schon aus der Familie und genau den habe ich mir nun auch angeschafft. Die Bedienung ist nahezu intuitiv. Mann muss sich nur merken, wo man die Menues findet. Ein- und Ausschalten geht nun automatisch. Das Umblättern erledigt man mit einem "Tip" oder "Wisch". Der Kindle reagiert superschnell und auch der Internetzugriff geht zeitgemäß flott. Das Highlight ist jedoch das Schriftbild und die Erkennbarkeit bei allen möglichen Lichtverhältnissen. Ob in der prallen Sonne oder in der dunklen Nacht. Wie ein selbstleuchtendes, glasklar lesbares Buch - einfach nur genial! Das Gehäuse ist wertig und stabil. Hier bekommt man viel Hardware zum vernünftigen Preis und dieser Kindle ist wirklich jeden Euro wert. Lesespaß und Lesequalität im top Format!

Miałam kiedyś czytnik innej firmy. Tej zdecydowanie jest lepszy. Zabieram mojego Kindle'a praktycznie wszędzie. Jeden minus jest: nie ma polskiego Kindle unlimited, a byłabym na pewno subsrybentką tego.

Après hésitation entre plusieurs modèles (notamment la version Color), j’ai finalement choisi la Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, et je ne regrette clairement pas mon choix. L’écran est vraiment très net et confortable, avec un excellent contraste. Après comparaison, la version Color (en promotion) m’a semblé moins précise pour la lecture pure, alors que cette Paperwhite est parfaite pour lire longtemps sans fatigue. L’éclairage automatique est un vrai plus : il s’adapte bien à l’environnement, de jour comme de nuit. Pour ceux qui cherchent à ne pas avoir la lumière bleue avant de dormir, c'est vraiment un gros point positif comparé une tablette. Les performances sont au rendez-vous : la liseuse est rapide, le changement de page est fluide, et l’interface reste simple et intuitive. L’autonomie est excellente, on peut lire plusieurs semaines sans se poser de questions. La recharge sans fil est pratique, même si pas indispensable. Petit point à noter : le modèle est sorti récemment (2024) et le prix reste assez élevé. Une promotion serait clairement bienvenue, même si la qualité est là. Autre détail important : on peut facilement s’y perdre entre les différentes générations et tailles d’écran. Certains sites vendent encore d’anciens modèles (notamment autour de 6,8"), c’est aussi pour ça que je suis passé par Amazon afin d’être sûr d’avoir la nouvelle génération. 👉 TLDR : une liseuse haut de gamme, très agréable à utiliser, pensée avant tout pour la lecture. Si vous cherchez la meilleure expérience de lecture en noir et blanc, une grosse autonomie (12 semaines) c’est un excellent choix. En espérant vous avoir aidé.
