Good weight. The rubber makes it easy to handle and pick up. The weights had a rubber smell for a few weeks, but honestly, i liked it. it made my basement smell like a gym. Had purchased a new weight cable set with a smith machine and needed new weight with it, so it felt cool to have everything new in basement. This weight set is a great price and you get everything you need. The boxes come in 6 or 7 boxes for each weight plate.

Fantastic bumper plates and well worth the cost. Buy these over the standard CAP bumper plates because the standard stink horribly and are very greasy. These are much better and are with the minor cost increase over the standard.

I love these plates. Added them to an existing gym area in my garage, and they work great with my Body Solid corner leverage gym. The rubber exterior makes them much more quiet than steel plates while still easy enough to grip. They definitely give my gym area an elevated feel. Haven’t weighed them to verify the weight, but I think they are legit. I would like to replace all my old weights with these. Price was fair for what you get. They do have that strong/chemical rubber smell, but it doesn’t really bother me and it will also wear down with time. CAP makes good stuff!

The weights themselves work great and are solid, well-made, and exactly what I was looking for in terms of functionality and performance. They feel durable and perform well during workouts with no issues at all. However, when they arrived, they had a very strong cigarette smoke smell and an oily residue on the surface. I had to wipe them down multiple times and air them out before using them, which was disappointing and unexpected. Once cleaned, they function perfectly.

Bottom Line Excellent economy bumper plates at an unreal price. Solid construction, secure inserts, predictable bounce, and colors that look great on the bar. Perfect for garage gyms and general strength training. Also, these are the type of bumpers that do not bounce even when dropped from overhead so you don't have to worry about chasing the barbell around. Coach's note: Never drop a bar from overhead with only one 10# plate on each end. You'll end up breaking your plates sooner than you would otherwise. Expect a light factory coating when new, this is normal for fresh bumpers and wipes off pretty easily. Spray with your standard household degreaser and wipe away, and you're good to go. These CAP Economy Olympic Bumper Plates land squarely in the “done right” category. The rubber is dense and durable, the inserts are secure, and the plates sit flat and balanced on the bar. They’re not overly soft or spongy, and they don’t feel brittle or hollow like some budget bumpers can. For Olympic lifts, powerlifting work, and general training, they perform exactly as they should. Side note: The colors pop nicely, too. The blue and green look great on the black. If you’re new to buying bumper plates, one thing to know: they arrive with a slightly greasy film from the factory. This is completely normal and part of the finishing process. A quick wipe-down with a standard household degreaser takes care of it, and after a week or so of regular use, it disappears entirely. I picked up the 260 lb set during a Black Friday sale for $200 with free shipping. Ordered December 1st, delivered December 12th without issue. At that price point, it’s difficult to justify spending significantly more for comparable training. Very happy with this purchase. These plates will see plenty of work, starting now! It’s time to chase a 600 lb deadlift and a 500 lb squat.

Great value but I’m not sure how they will hold up I don’t put them through any real abuse but they look great but they do come very oily and smell like oil and rubber but you can wash them several times with dawn like me and let them air outside for a couple of days it goes away the rubber does tend to chip pretty easy if your lifting these on concrete but if you have rubber mats it should be fine so far I am satisfied

I got such a good deal on these weights and they are perfect for my home gym. The included stand was very easy to assemble and holds all the weights with ease, plus some additional ones I bought. It says it has a capacity of 800 lbs which is more than enough for me. Plus, there are four barbell holders on the stand for additional convenient storage. The weights slide on and off with ease. These were the least expensive bumper plates I could find but the quality is just as good any any others I have used. The lighter weights are definitely bendable under a lot of strain but no the heavy weights. They have been super durable so far and they don’t dent, crumble, or scratch with normal use. Overall these weights are about as good as you could ask for and at a price that is very affordable. I’ll probably order more as my weight needs increase.

Beautiful set shipped fast (estimated 2 weeks and actually came in 2 days). Stand is very sturdy and easy to build. Plates were a little greasy but nothing a rag couldn't wipe off and to me the smell is not that strong would recommend every time. HOWEVER I ordered the speckled plates 370 lb. set with stand and my 15lb plates in the set were the normal non speckled plates which bummed me out. I reached out to amazon and they said they couldn't replace them as they don't carry them in the warehouse or some weird AI response that which made no sense becuase i can buy them and theyd be here tomorrow.... They offered me a partial refund as a amazon gift card which is great because i used affirm for monthly payments so i can reimburse through my work. unfortunately they couldn't do that either and refund the amount to the original payment which doesn't benefit me that much. Now i must purchase the 15lbs separately so they match. major bummer

I’m really impressed with these Olympic weight plates! Unlike some plates that arrive with a strong chemical smell, mine had no odor at all, which was a huge plus. They feel solid, well-balanced, and the finish is excellent—very durable and professional-looking. The only adjustment I had to make was with the sleeve: my old 1980s setup was too big for the new plates, but once I purchased an adjuster sleeve, everything fit perfectly in the center. Beyond that, they work flawlessly and make lifting smooth and secure. Highly recommend these plates for anyone looking for quality and reliability in their home or commercial gym setup.

Awesome set. Amazon had this 370lbs set for $80, crazy deal! Paid about $0.15 per pound, plates feel great. I am going to get rid of my older plates and keep these, at that price you CANNOT go wrong

Good price. It has some chemical smell and grease but you can rinse them off. The smell goes away or get used to. The main purpose as a buyer is the weight and this product did its own good job. Highly recommended.
