Vortex Race 3 Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Red Switches (UK Layout)

I got the model with Cherry Red. I normally use blue which has a more audible click, however I still get great feedback from the reds and they feel good without being as noisy around colleagues and they do moan about my noisy keyboards. It is expensive but the build is perfect and the solid milled case is rock solid. Disappointing that they used a custom size on the ESC key because its hard to find them if I wanted to change keycaps or put a fancy customer esc key on. Otherwise feels great and I don't mind paying big bucks for a decent keyboard because we have our hands on them nearly as much time as we spend in bed. In fact to get on my soap box about it there has been a change recently in the work place where many of the big tech giants like DELL and HP have tried to emulate apple with very flat low-profile keys on the standard build kit you get in the workplace. The result is a nearly unusable flat squashy keyboard which is not at all appropriate to for proper finger use and don't offer me a decent keyboard experience like this Vortex does. I don't use any custom layer changes, I just use the standard that it comes with. I do think that the fact this has cursor keys makes it one of the best sizes of smaller keyboard. It has the full function key range (which I could do without), however cursors are vital and my older POKR 3 keyboard suffered a bit without cursors. The plastic of the keys is good, they have a nice shape and the MAC based keys are perfect for me being a Mac Mini user. USBC connector would have been preferred to the micro cable but its fine and works well. Would have been amazing if they made it Bluetooth with USBC charging which will be the only reason I upgrade.

Fantastic keyboard (+) - Very good solid aluminium chassis - The DSA Keycaps are perfect, good quality and the addition of RGBY modifier keycaps is a bonus - Cherry MX Browns = Nice tactile feedback switches and the DSA keycaps make them all the more pleasure to type with (-) - Esc and Delete key are 1.5u keycap sizes therefore it is a bit awkward to change for custom keycaps since it is unconventional (+/-) - Micro USB connectivity allows for custom cable use however it would be nice to see USB C in the future - The box of the actual keyboard is fairly loose inside i.e. some keycaps had come out during shipping All in all a fantastic keyboard
