I've been running the standard TLR-7 Sub on my Glock 43X MOS for a while, and while it was solid, I wanted more output without adding bulk. The Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X Sub (the 1000-lumen USB version tailored for Glock 43X/48 MOS rails) is a game-changer.Right out of the box, the fit is perfect—no wobble, includes all the necessary switches and key kit for a seamless install on the MOS rail. The build quality feels premium, as expected from Streamlight—solid aluminum construction, weather-resistant, and no cheap plastic vibes. The real standout is the performance: with the included SL-B9 USB-C rechargeable battery, you get a legit 1000 lumens and around 10,000–13,000 candela (depending on mode/settings). It's insanely bright compared to the older 500-lumen Sub—lights up the entire backyard like daylight and throws far enough to identify threats at realistic self-defense distances. The beam is focused with good spill for close-range work too. There's even a programmable lower mode (around 500–550 lumens) for longer runtime if needed, which is a smart touch.USB-C charging is super convenient—no more hunting for CR123As or dealing with proprietary chargers. Just plug it in like your phone. Runtime on high is about 30 minutes (plenty for defensive use), and the switches are intuitive—easy momentary or constant-on access without shifting grip.No hot spots, no failures after range sessions, and it holds zero perfectly. If you're carrying a slim Glock 43X or 48 MOS and want serious illumination without turning your EDC into a boat anchor, this is hands-down one of the best compact weapon lights available right now.Highly recommend—worth every penny for the brightness jump and rechargeability of the battery is a massive benefit

This is a very nice light compatible with many accessories. Very bright, buttons are very sleek. this thing is so bright it’s insane. Also it’s so bright and very good for looking for stuff under your bed. Very good for looking for stuff in the back of the refrigerator. It’s good for finding things behind the refrigerator or under the sink. It’s good for looking for things everywhere other than in public.

The Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X Sub is an absolute game-changer for compact and subcompact pistol platforms. I’ve been running this on my EDC setup for a few months now, and it checks every box: size, brightness, reliability, and ergonomics. The 1,000-lumen output is incredibly impressive for such a compact light—it throws a wide, clean beam that fully illuminates dark rooms and outdoor spaces. Perfect for target identification without excessive splash or blinding backwash. It’s ideal for both home defense and concealed carry. Build quality is what you'd expect from Streamlight: rugged, dependable, and built to take a beating. The controls are intuitive, especially with the ambidextrous paddles. Activation is smooth and responsive, even under stress. It also fits snugly and securely on my rail with zero wobble. Battery access is easy (no need to remove the light from the gun), and runtime is solid considering the high output. I also appreciate that it comes with multiple key inserts for different handgun models—Streamlight clearly paid attention to compatibility and user needs. Bottom line: if you want a compact WML that punches way above its weight class, the TLR-7 HL-X Sub is hands-down one of the best options out there. Reliable, powerful, and perfectly sized. I trust it completely.

Great light design. It's durable, not too expensive, and the switches work nice. It's very bright and throws the light out in such a way you can see plenty around you. Must have on a ccw.
