4.5L Ultrasound Cleaner

Spacious and powerful, this is working very well in my workshop. I've been cleaning gears and oil coated parts with Simple Green. Also polished up some stainless with amazing results. Some comments say it takes a while to heat up, which is does. I just turn it on and let it warm up while I prepare parts and it's usually to temp by the time I'm done. It's also not too noisy. I can run it in my workshop and not hear it much when I go to the next room. And I can easily have a conversation or listen to the radio with it running two feet away. So far, used 3-5 times/week average for 30-60 minutes per session, it's doing well. I decided on this model based on product research and brand name. Also, I opted for one size bigger than I needed, which turned out to be a wise choice. Go a little bigger for a few extra bucks because you'll find all kinds of stuff to clean.

Unit works well. I cleaned a bike chain, glasses, and some jewelry. I am satisfied with my purchase.

It works OK as long as you don't plug it into a ground fault outlet. The ground fault trips immediately as soon as you start the cleaning. I tried it on a regular 120V outlet, and it works fine. I tried a different ground fault outlet in another room, same result. I will have to do some rewiring in order to use it in my garage.

It’s a quality machine but alas, it doesn’t do what I’d hoped, cleaning sterling flatware without the polishing. There’s just no getting around it but I had to try!

This is cheaply built. The entire face of the ultrasonic cleaners presses in when you press the buttons. The led screens distort under the pressure of a button push; In no scenario can this be good over the long haul. The only way to reset a timer countdown after starting the unit is to power it off and back on. And the noise this thing puts out is horrible. I mean ultrasonic cleaners in general are no picnic to listen to but this one takes the cake, it's awful. Spend a bit more is the best advice I can give. I'm personally unsure as to whether I relegate this to garage duty or simply send it back.
