Tramontina Covered Casserole Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Base 3 Qt, 80101/003DS

I discovered Tramontina cookware by accident. Found a fry pan at the local thrift shop and have been hooked ever since. I bought this from the "Like New/USED" section. From Braising Lamb Shanks to Simmering Rice....An excellent pan that is seeing heavy usage most every week.Quality material.Stamped Made In Brazil.I found it's easy to clean handles well and cooks evenly stove-top/oven. I know this love affair may be over in a year..but I'm gonna buff that stainless affectionately!!! Oh yeah I am buying their other pans .

I like that it is a pan with two helper handles instead of a long handle which takes up less space in oven or cabinet. It is also easier to lift and carry than the other handle arrangements. The thick bottom cooks evenly and looks like it will not warp as many larger bottom pans will. I love that the lid and all handles are metal are oven safe. Stainless steel without non-stick coating is always my choice for pans, so that is a plus. I was a little surprised that the lid is as lightweight and thin as it is. I cooked a pot roast in it and the lid did not seem to be an issue. but I fear the lid will be easy to warp or bend if dropped. I wish this casserole came in a slightly larger size that would accommodate a large chuck roast and some vegetables. The medium chuck roast I cooked in it almost filled the bottom of the pan with very little room left for vegetables. Overall, a nice pan with features that are hard to find.

Great pan for my glass top stove. The lid doesn’t fit well (4 stars) but I use without it mostly. The weight of the pan is substantial, heavy bottom. Made in Brazil.

I fell in love with the brand after receiving one as a gift. Sturdy, clean look. Does get a build up over the years but super easy to clean. Easy to clean. Food doesn't stick and there very sturdy and stackable.The lid has a weird fit, almost like they sent the wrong one but one that sorta worked. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Heavy duty, cooks well. Got rid of our old stainless and copper pan for this one. Much better and made in Brazil (not in China).
