This was very easy to assemble and looks and feels well made. It works well with my decor and was a very affordable price. I bought the XL as our cat is 12.5lbs. THe is an outdoor stray that we have been parenting since December. Finally he is using something we bought him! We have beeen slowly working on getting him accustomed to the indoors. Its been raging hot and he has been coming indoors for longer periods and become familiar with the scratcher but only for seconds at a time. I am shocked that when I opened the door to let him in today he walked straight to it climbed and curled up. That's a win!!

Not only is this stylish, more environmentally friendly, and easier to set up than many options out there, but my cat freaking loves it! My cat instantly started scratching it, then plopped and rolled about on it for hours. The wood and screw design makes this very durable, the fit is perfect for your small to medium sized cat (I got the regular size not XL). The shape is lovely and ideal for kitties. It is very stable, and the additional little foam pieces that go under the wood make sure it won’t scratch whatever furniture or floor it sits on. It is very stable once set up. My cat adores this, and I am so excited for her! Absolutely give this a go.

My cat loves it. I was not finished putting it together and he was already scratching on it! He rolled over and rubbed his scent on it to claim it (I have another cat so he wanted to claim it). Good construction. Clear instructions. nice little tool I have now too. Thanks!

Well, It's been 3 days now since I received it, put it together and rubbed with catnip (as I do with anything else new I give to my kitty). She is used to the cardboard variety, but they were getting expensive since she is quite large, so I have to look for the bigger ones. Found one my old cat loved, but it used to last that kitty 3-4 months, and this one, I'm replacing every other month. So I thought this would be worth the investment, since after that, I only have to replace the sisal mat occasionally. I know some cats LOVE this material, but by day 3, she seemed lethargic...maybe a little depressed? She needed to scratch! So I turned the L-shaped cardboard scratcher upside down so it makes a little tunnel. Then I placed it beside the new sisal scratcher. She actually went inside the tunnel of the cardboard scratcher and started scratching. Then she checked out the new sisal scratcher again and settled into it for awhile as a "test nap". Now she's taking a little before-dinner cat nap in her little chair, which is just a child's upholstered chair that I recovered with a slipcover. Took her awhile to get used to that too, but now she loves it. The new scratcher may just end up to be another napping place, but that's OK. It would have been nice to get rid of the cardboard fragments, but it looks like that ain't happening any time soon! At least she's building trust in the new "thing" in her space. To the seller/manufacturer: Thank you for the detailed instructions and complete tools! The screwdriver was a nice touch too. I actually tried it out and ended up using my own, but not everyone has tools! Over all, good quality product, easy to put together, and quite attractive. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone whose cat is hooked on cardboard, or you could just give your kitty a cardboard box until he/she gets used to it. ;)

Easy to put together, if you have more than one kitty buy two, they love it and don’t really want to share. At least mine don’t!

I have an aging kitty who loves to scratch! This scratcher is awesome in 2 ways: a place to scratch and a place to sleep! I am not a fan of cardboard scratchers, so the fact that this is sisal made this even more appealing. It was VERY easy to put together. The pieces are sturdy and it does look attractive. I recommend what others did to attract kitty: sprinkle some catnip on it. Overall a great value. Recommend

Great quality, easy to assemble, actually big enough for average sized cats (larger ones could also fit in it), my cats love scratching and sleeping on it - couldn't recommend enough!

I have 4 very fussy cats. They all absolutely love this! None used it for scratching. They take turns sleeping on it and apparently they are very comfortable doing so. It’s nicely finished. No rough edges so no worry about slivers from the wood.

This item is so well made. The wood is beautiful and the scratch material is perfect for my cat. I’m very impressed with the components and with the supplies to put it together, including a small screwdriver. It looks so classy that I don’t mind having it in my living room for the cat to enjoy. Even the pamphlet with instructions is robust and well done.
