Q: Dont the small pieces on the sides attaching the "mask" to the strap hit your ears - and if so, I would think this might be really uncomfortable?

I did notice this- used them on a long flight and those pieces did dig in. I managed to adjust them by sliding the straps higher on my head and that helped. Otherwise these were quite comfy

It probably depends on the anatomical position of one’s ears. The straps don’t impinge on my ears at all. You might try raising the strap on the back of your head if that doesn’t feel too tight.

It should of came will foam already in it
