Does a Hot Elf Live Next Door to You? Vol. 2

Buckle up because volume 2 of Does A Hot Elf Live Next Door To You is a wild ride. I can safely say it has found its own unique hook. In the crowded genre isekai and fan service series, it can be hard for a series to stand out. But it might finally have a book to rise above the crowd.What is that hook, parody of course. Seriously it's great. For example we have s parody of magical girls with a dark twist. Also at one point out heroes get sucked into a video game, where if they die in they die in real life. Of course it's all done in a playful manner, similar to Gintama of all things. While the first volume was okay to me, this has me wanting more. Here's hoping it's a taste of what is to come. -MickManga

Volume 2! The story continues with more parody and anime references with a school crush turning into a magical girl, a shine goddess (who's also a gyaru) and a little more romantic progression with the main hero and heroine. The fan service is the same, with the same issues. Please refer to my previous review of Volume 1, because I'm not going through that again. For what it's worth, I do enjoy the funny parodies with Moe art and ecchi moments. Nothing ground-breaking but I do appreciate the effort for a potential storyline as we move onward to Volume 3!I would also like to mention that this manga come out during the pandemic in Japan, you got to respect that! If you're a fan of monster girls and Hajimete no Gal, I do recommend this manga series!
